Well, I have decided to go with Picasa for a minute. So Down loaded it onto my Mac.
It is so much of a program and I have little time to to learn another program from scratch. Is there a guide out there I can use?

I like the composition of this photo. yet the background is still a little distracting. I wonder what would happen if you lowered your camera and used the tree' green for a background while still using a higher f-stop.

The First is the better one IMHO. Though truth be told I think that a more uniform background would be better. Even the blurred back ground takes away from the beauty of the flowers. My eye wonders to the cars in the background, thus making the flowers less important to the photo.

OK, So I am convinced that putting a watermark on my work is a good thing. My thinking is this: Even if some one wants my pic without my permission, they will take it off the web somehow, so I might as well put my mark on it and they can remove it if they want (the scoundrels!)
My question is this: How do I get my water mark on on the image in the first place?
My budget is non existent so free is great!. Picasa, or Gimp? Or any other freebies?

OK, so I want to put the pictures I have some place in the cloud. I want to keep them private, except for the ones I don't want to keep private. ;-). Basically, I want an offsite back up of everything. Yet I will want to showcase the ones I like. Any suggestions? O and it's gotta be free

So, I just bought my first DLSR. What a dream of choices, but now I need to figure out the best way to categorize and edit my pics. Mostly, I need to just keep the image in a place so I will it. (I want the picture corrected right with little work.) But I also want to create "Albums" so I can revel in my best pics. The most important thing is to spend no money. I have looked at GIMP and Picasa. It looks like Picasa is better for organizing, while GIMP may give me better editing options.
Right now I don't want to spend so much time in post production, I want to get it right the first time( though in the future this may change.)
Any suggestions?
