Just purchased an excellent plus like new condition used Sony SAL500F8 lens. This will be the first time using this kind of lens. Since it comes with a ND4X light filter, should I purchased a UV filter and or a Polarizing filter for this lens. This lens was purchased from B&H video and the salesperson was not sure about adding extra filters to this lens

All of you people who have this lens please give me your feedback on this lens. Also are replacement plug-in filters available in case I should need them?

B&H Photo sells a remote trigger from Vello. The remote mounts on flash head and you have a hand remote. The hand remote also works as a timer which you can set to take photos. Selling price around $125.00. I really enjoy mine.

The 6.3 lens has7/4 lens to elements while the f8 lens are 4/4 four elements to lens. Which in long run the more lens a lens has the better focus and better overall performance of the lens.

I take PR shots for a major railroad which I still work for, and we put these shots in a yearly calendar. This is why I am looking for a 500mm lens, lot of mountain photos.

I had a Sony 300 digital camera since 1999 when I got it new. The only problem I had with the camera was that the memory card was put in backwards shorting out the camera board and also erased half of the photos I had on the card. I was told to have camera repaired would cost $300.00. Now should I buy another old time camera for $150.00 or look for a better one.
So after some long Internet searching and help from B&H Photo I got the camera along with a deal. The deal included Sony F60 Flash, Vello Vertical drive, Vello remote timer, Sony 35 MM, Sony 18 - 55 MM, Sony 55 - 300 MM len. All lens are SAT and when on the camera the distance is increased by 1.5. So the 35 MM on the camera is a 53MM in photo length. This whole deal was around $2700.00.
Now to figure out how everything works and how to setup camera to take photos.

Just go this camera and I am starting to become familiar with everything this camera does. Thank goodness there was another book available for this camera. The author is David D. Busch and is entitled Sony a77 ll - ILCA-77M2 the guide to Digital Photography. This really shows Sony how they should write a manual for their Cameras.
Since I am new are the free our people that have used this camera and can gave me feed b acknowledge on the camera?
