Shots taken with a Pixel 2 last year as family went out to dinner (you remember those days). Tweaked with PhotoScape X.

Nice shot. I would crop out some of the foreground and left side, leaving the two-track part of the road in and keeping the beautiful sky. This would also enlarge the church and move it off center a bit.

Edit: I see you did some of this while I was typing.

Usually Snapseed, and occasionally Pixlr.

My favorite trick is to set the 2-second delay while using a tripod, then a week or two later failing to catch a hand-held shot because the shutter button won't cooperate. A second or two later I usually get a blurry selfie instead.

Cute -- love the shadow in the last one. Also like your title.

Spectacular -- and great story behind it. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much and welcome to the "tour", Tim. I am happy that my travelogues have been inspiring to you and can prepare you a bit for what you are going to experience. Are you going to concentrate on the Golden Circle and maybe Snaefellsnes or are you going the "whole hog" doing the Ring Road on a self drive? I am sure you are going to like it over there - just hope this Covid thing will be over by then. Enjoy your Sunday - Joe

We'll be on a NatGeo circumnavigation cruise, with lots of ventures inland. Your tours have given me a good roadmap of what to look for on the land expeditions. Thanks.

If your friendship or relationship is worth preserving, then just send them the originals, whether RAW or JPG, and move on.

I'd also ask them, gently and with a smile, what they plan to do with the originals, because you're always looking to improve your skills and would find the feedback helpful. Who knows, they may have some useful editing suggestions.

Great shots! We're hoping to go there next spring, covid permitting, and your "tours" have been very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Great concept and fun to look at. Some of the photos looked a bit too dark to my eye, but it may be my monitor rather than how they will print in the photobook. My only suggestion is to put the two piano shots together and maybe cut one or two old window pics. Are you planning to annotate the photos to give locations, any background (e.g., previous uses), or other interesting historical or geographical trivia? Well done!

Definitely buy the Nikon version if you use only Nikon gear. I've had the Sony version for four years and it's excellent. The annual upgrade for a brand-specific version has ranged from $50-70, but you will get free updates until the next upgrade comes out.

So far, Phase One has offered a pre-order option, but has not explained what new features will be available in the coming upgrade. Of course, if your current version meets all your RAW-conversion needs, there may be no reason to purchase the upgrade this year.

I heard that MSNBC will re-broadcast the show on 10/24, though it may be late at night for east coast viewers. I really enjoyed seeing it -- his was a demanding job, with long and unpredictable hours.

Duplicate. Too bad we don't have a delete option for dups.

I second (or third) the Olympus TG camera. You can find a used TG-4 or TG-5 at a reasonable price. They shoot underwater, take nice 12 mp shots out of water, have a close-up mode for bugs, etc., and are durable enough to survive an active 4 year old. If he outgrows it or loses interest, you can always reclaim it yourself as a good backup camera.

The sky is perfect for a haunted hotel! Nice capture.
