AND you get a Brazilian in the same pass. Gets you ready in time for the beach this summer.

I like the picture. The place sure has character, but what kind of house has a lighted sign out front. Most have been a store or service station.

I’ve occasionally seen “Death By Chocolate” on a dessert menu, but I never knew they were serious

You were standing within 1/4 mile of where I lived at that time when you took the picture of the Quincy Smelter. Moved to MN this year to be near the kids & grandkids.

I like your comment about mocking Old Men, Jerry.
Looks to me like this hairstyle was designed to make short people appear Taller.

We all know that they are important and that they help make or break a photograph.
I took this shot because I was attracted by the light from the broken sky, reflecting on the wet surfaces of slate and brick, my original "foreground." I did not see the leaves until I started processing.
My question is, do they enhance the image?

I think it’s a nice photo. The leaves are not an issue. If it were mine I might try removing the branch in the upper right corner and the protruding limb on the left frame to see if it improved anything, but other than that…. Nice job.

Nice Agate jewelry. Pretty easy to find Agates in Northern Keweenaw County (Michigan).
A good shop to browse in is Keweenaw Gem & Gift (Houghton, MI).

I just learned the hard way that by going to the latest Mac OS 13.0.1 my Capture One 22 software will crash at start-up effectively preventing me from doing any digital photography editing. So far, my options are to take my computer to the Apple Store and have them degrade my OS to the previous version or to purchase an upgrade of Capture One. My last Capture One upgrade was a year ago, so I’m trying to find out if I qualify for a reduced price upgrade from the software company.

I did finally get the issue sorted out, but it took a drive to an Apple Store, the techs on-line were not able to figure it out. At the Apple Store after I explained what had happened the tech was scratching his head. My computer was capable of running Ventura. I remembered Bonjac on UHH saying he had a similar problem, but corrected it by doing a Clean Install of their Photo Editing Software AFTER the OS upgrade. As it turned out that was good advice. We tried it and it worked. The OS upgrade caused a problem that was rectified by reinstalling the affected programs. It sounds easy enough to fix, but it’s farther into the weeds than I’m comfortable going on my own.
Thanks Bonjac! The upgrading process took 2 hours at the Apple Store, but I wasn’t charged anything.

Similar to the Hanka Homestead museum in Askel, MI. An early Finnish farmstead.

You say “getting older” like it’s a bad thing. Consider the alternative. 😉

It might be an old and dumb question but the progress in quality of pics taken by new and newer iPhones renews interest in it.

The younger crowd is satisfied with phone pictures like they were satisfied with digital music. They are learning that an album on a decent stereo is better than digital. Many will likely cycle back to DSLR cameras in time for the same reason.
