I saw about a thousand names and heard some background (music???) then someone talking and more background music. I think I did something wrong.

All good but the Barn Swallow is outstanding. We used to have them when I was young but they seem to be gone. The thick, heavy beak of the last one would seem to put it in the Finch family, possibly a grosbeak, but not a female blue GB. Just visited Cornell Lab and viewed pics of female BHC. That would be my bet.

I agree. We think alike on this subject. Sometimes less is more.

I don't care whether my pics tell a story or not. I take pictures to put a pause button on some things that I may never get to see again. Nature and wildlife, especially, do not wait around and pose for you at your convenience. And people don't live forever. Take pics that give you pleasure and don't worry about pleasing others.

The Cedar Waxwing is heavenly. You even managed to make a Brown headed Cowbird look gorgeous. Very becoming set.

I don't like it at all. It's bull shit. They don't call it "Standard Time" for no reason. If you want to work early just change the working hours. Don't mess up with the time.

As others have said, off to a good start. You may want to try cropping to get more bird and less grass, etc.

I’ll make you a deal. Send me your telephone number, and the next time I’m in North Carolina, I’ll call you, and you can sit in your basement cowering in fear. That way I can’t infect you, and then when I leave, I’ll call you and let you know you can come out of your hole again. Also, Fauci the Moron is now saying that if you live in fear of the virus, you should wear 14 N-95 masks and get 27 shots just to be on the safe side. Good luck with your fear.

How very kind and thoughtful of you! I do appreciate your generous offer to help protect me, however, I still have to get out, buy gas, groceries, my mother's prescriptions, etc. I'll tell you why I have such a fear of contracting this virus, and it isn't about ME! My mother, who turned 100 years old on Aug 4th. has recently been diagnosed with late stage Parkinson's in addition to other health problems such as stage 3 kidney failure, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, extreme dizziness, hallucinations, etc. She falls occasionally and I am the only caretaker she has. In other words, I am in close contact with her daily. If I were to get covid, then she most certainly would get it also. So now maybe you have a better understanding of my "fear". You see, I don't just think about me, me, me, me, me, as so many seem to. I do not wish to spread this virus to my mother or anyone else for that matter. I am SO glad you are thinking of others and not just of yourself. Thanks again for the offer. May God bless and watch over you and yours.

So do I hear you say that the hospitals are jammed up with only the unvaxed? That my friend is total hogwash. Are you also saying that if you are fully vaxed you won't have to go into the hospital and take up a bed someone really needs. You know, those people overdosing on heroine or other designer drug, or suffering gunshot wounds from a drug deal gone bad, who would never think of selfishly taking up a bed that more deserving people need? I'm still wondering how our good friend ended up in the ER with COVID-19 even though she was fully vaccinated and 2 booster shots...maybe you have an answer. Maybe she is the one who passed the virus along to my wife and me...hmm, crickets!!!
So do I hear you say that the hospitals are jammed... (show quote)

No, you never heard me say ONLY the unvaxed. The majority of those with COVID in the hospital ICU are unvaxed. What good friend are you referring to???? If you are referring to my former neighbor, I have no idea about her vaccine status, but I'm pretty sure as a female about my age, she was NOT overdosing or in any drug deals gone wrong, etc. She had health problems as many of us older adults have. Have you never heard of heart attacks?? What about strokes?? Kidney failure?? Not everyone needing a hospital bed is a gunshot victim from a drug deal gone wrong. Who are you hanging with????

I know this is hard for some people to understand, but, its my choice if I want to take that risk. As long as people getting masked or vaccinated still pass this virus along, I don't see the benefit. Reminds me of the flu, we get it every year and yes there are new strains and flu shots and similar numbers of deaths from people who are at risk, but where are the mandates for the flu shots? How would me not taking the Covid19 shot and end up in the hospital and die be any different than if I didn't take the flu shot and end up in the hospital and die from the flu?
I know this is hard for some people to understand,... (show quote)

First of all: it's not all about YOU! YOU might get the virus and end up with a few sniffles and nothing more. On the other hand, YOU might get the virus and give it to to someone else who will die from it. If I were to get the virus, after being vaxed and boosted, I might not get sick enough to go to the hospital and take up valuable room that a heart attack patient could have had. Others with died waiting for a bed that was filled with covid patients that did not HAVE to be there. Two weeks ago a former neighbor of mine passed out and went to a local hospital. They sent her home for the lack of a bed. Her funeral was on the 6th. Another neighbor (her cousin) had covid and said that he really though he was going to die. He also said that it was NOTHING like the flu. I have had the flu. I lived to tell about it.

The Vax does nothing to stop the spread of the virus and nothing to keep you from getting it. That's the facts. The only thing you might remotely claim is it might keep the vaxed person from being admitted to the hospital or dying...maybe. people who have been fully vaxed and boosted have passed and received the virus.

The vaccine is to be compared to a kevlar vest. No one ever said it would keep the bad guy from pulling a gun, firing a shot, and hitting you. But it may very well keep you from getting killed. The ones in ICU who are dying are largely unvaxed. We can't know that getting vaxed does "nothing" to prevent the spread until more people get on board. If 50% get vaxed and wear masks in public, they have 50% beating down their efforts and making sure that the virus stays alive and thriving. It's kind of like trying to stop a leaky boat from sinking by dipping the water out with a teaspoon. Half the population is trying to defeat the virus and the other half is trying to keep it going. Isn't staying out of the hospital and dying...maybe, the whole point????

Moronic reply.

If it takes sending one to jail in order to save hundreds/thousands than so be it.
We are a nation of selfish, spoiled, bratty cowards. We are too cowardly to get a few shots that only cause a little dull ache when pressed, like an old bruise that you can't remember how it got there. We HUMANS are the ones who are spreading this virus and we HUMANS are the only ones who can stop the spread. It's time to put on our big girl/ big boy pants, and get the vaccines, wear the masks and quit breathing on everyone who is trying to do the right things. We are leaving one MORE humongous mess for our children / grandchildren to have to wipe up after. Is that something you are proud of????

I agree. Just out of curiosity, did anyone bother to attach the neck strap to those $$$$$$ cameras while dangling them over the water?
