What are you guys smoking?

There are ONLY 39 COLOR BANDS in the image.

Read the OP and go to the web site if you don't believe that.

It may be a difference in the computer monitors that may give more than 39 colors.

If the bands are uniformly wide, there are 44. If not uniformly wide, then 39.

The name of the flower is the name of the College Year Book where I went to college first. Pacific Union College, Napa County, California. And the plant grows only on the mountain where the college is. Thanks for the photo!

Marionberries are also known as Blackberries, so Blackberry pie and Blackberry Jam are just heavenly! Also, they are NOT exclusive to Oregon. They grow whever there is a cool and damp environment. We had them on our property in Olympia WA. They are also known as Himilaya Berries and originally from India/Nepal/Pakistan.

I'm a former WA resident, too. I recommend Palouse Falls, too. And Dry Falls at the South end of the Grand Coulee. If you have time, the Grand Coulee Dam is worth a visit, too! Have fun!

Limiting to the first three I owned were a Kodak Baby Brownie Special, 1948; a Ricoh Super Ricohflex f3.5 80mm, 1959; Exacta VX iib, 1964. First photos from the Kodak were on a trip from Seattle to Sacramento of Crater Lake, summer of 1948. I was nine.

Several in California got missed! Traveling up U.S. 101 from Willits to Crescent City through some of the biggest trees on earth. Travelling from Visalia through Sequoia and Yosemite to Tioga Pass and ending in Lee Vining. If any of you hoggers have travelled these routes, you will never forget, right?

Pano with three photos.

Very, very nice, but it's Long Beach. Los Angeles is quite a few miles north and can't really be seen, even from the top of the masts. I still admire the pano!

I also am a pleased T3i owner/user. If I upgrade, I'm thinking of 7D or 70D or 6D full-frame, or just maybe a 5Diii. My thinking is that there is too little difference between a T3i and a T5i to upgrade in that dirrection.

I have Nikon D7100 with Nikon Micro 105mm F\2.8 and Tamron 16-300 F/3.5-6.3. The crop factor for the D7100 is 1.5; so because of the crop, the Nikon 105mm is LIKE having a 157.5mm and the Tamron looks LIKE 24-450mm, that's ok with me. That is the same thing with the aperture the 1.5 crop applies?. So I don't have a F\2.8 it is a F\4.2? And the Tamron is not F\3.5-6.3 is a F\5.25-9.45?

You're right. You have to play with the math if you want your photos to look like those someone took with a full-frame camera.

This thread is an embarrassment.
Is there a way to delete a whole thing?
There should be a warning on it.
Talk about confusing people!!!

If the laws of physics have changed, I need to go back to school.

My hand-held light meters never had (or needed) any notation for converting light readings to different camera formats or lenses.

Your light meter told you what opening you needed for a given film speed AND shutter speed; OR what shutter speed you needed for a given opening AND film speed. Change film speed, change the other two; change opening, change shutter speed. The triangle is the same in the digital world. But--big difference in light-gathering capabilities between APS-C sensors anf full-size sensors. And THAT is what crop-factor is all about.
