40 for me.1 yellow, 1 green and 1 blue I can't differentiate between.
(Odd. I can see more than is there and I'm aware of 3 more. Time for a recount.)
Had to download the image and enlarge to screen width and count several times. 38, but I still see several wide bands and I'm assuming there is a differentiation there, just that I can't see it.

According to Snopes, this is an entirely false test. Tetrachromacy is vanishingly small in percentage of the population, verified by the number of UHH respondents who see 32-38 different colors (normal), and computer screens don't have enough colors to show tetrachromacy. I can see all of them. But I am color blind.:) This is really hard on the eyes tho:)
