Beautiful! But how do you do it? Find the time to find and listen to all this great music?

That’s Okay. I am not upset about your desire to avoid film. Many people threw away the desire and probably sold their cameras. I enjoyed film then and still do. Some days, I take my film cameras for a spin.
I take a pick between a Canon AE-1, Canon 1v-HS, and a Canon EOS Rebel 2000. I grab a few rolls of film from the refrigerator and I just roam. I develop my film by East Coast Photo. They are very reasonable.

Just remember, Film isn’t dead. It just smells funny.

Another reason to like you Scruples. I also shoot film. Wouldn’t give up my Olympus OM4 for anything. Photography is about creating images. How one chooses to do this is personal. it’s not about the camera. It’s about the artist chooses to create.

Mark, you and your music posts are 90% of the reason I read this section. One of my wife’s and my favorite things is looking for a little jazz club wherever we travel. There is nothing like a good keyboard, bass, drums, perhaps a trumpet, or reeds and trombone. Add a jazz vocalist and a fine bottle of wine and our hearts are full. Music. It has always been a huge part of our lives, from playing the trumpet to singing in the church choir to listening to great performers like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Eydie Gorme. (We think the Frank/Steve/Eydie Duets recording of Where or When is the best version ever). We still have the first lp we ever bought. It was a 1956 record by Les Elgart, the year we were married. So, you can see how important music is to us. Your almost daily posts of recording adds a lot to our day. So thank you and keep them coming. Paul

One more thing. To our minds, “Now you has jazz” by Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong from High Society is one of our very favorites.

It’s not “If only”. We’ve been married 66 years and “SMACK” is every day. Never a bad day.

Nor, does it make it bad. Those of us on tight budgets find Walmart a wonderful place. And yes, I compare prices.

Thousands and thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of people are not only employed by Amazon, but employed in ancillary jobs because Amazon exists. When one door closes and another opens it doesn’t necessarily mean you are in prison.

I am often surprised at how Hogs know all about and embrace digital photography and all that goes with it and never complain because Pentax had to stop making the Spotmatics. I liked my Nash Ambassador in the 50’s but I don’t still wish I had it or that they still made them.

Times change ladies and gentlemen.

I recently spent several days in San Francisco in a variety of locations with my DSLR and other camera stuff hanging on me. I never—NEVER saw a thing that looked frightening. Please, please people, stop being afraid of everything.

Thank you for keeping this in perspective. One incident does not mean hiding in the bathroom.

My all time favorite and I have had a lot of them from a Fedflash to 4 x 5.

I’m appalled at how negative you hogs are! I find that 99% of the people I see every day are kind, courteous, and thoughtful. You all must be living in the wrong place. Try St. Petersburg, FL. There are a lot of people here with canes, walkers and electric carts and I have yet to see one of them ever try to take advantage of their disability. And once a week we have a pantry at our church where we prepare bag lunches and provide clothes, shoes, toiletries, etc. for the homeless. Last week we had 91 people come. Every one of them was gracious, appreciative and polite. Remember, be kind to strangers. You never know what kind of demons they are fighting. Jerry, instead of staying home with your son, go volunteer to serve a thanksgiving meal at a church or shelter. Then you will know what thanks giving means.

My granddaughter probably has 50 cups from different countries around the world. And there are many different blends, some of which I don’t particularly like. Come on Hogs. It’s 2022. Maxwell House and Hills Brothers drinkers are probably still shooting with Pentax Spotmatics.

I have bought and sold about 2000 items on eBay, mostly cameras and lenses over the past 20 years and it has always worked smoothly for me.

So, it appears I am alone. We have been drinking Starbucks French Roast every morning for more than 20 years. I grind it fresh each time. We love it. On sale at Costco it is relatively cheap, but that’s not the point. The point is we like it. I don’t fault you if you don’t like it, so please don’t fault me if I do like it. But, wow, you sure are dumping hard on something as innocuous as a cup of coffee. Come on Hogs! I can’t be the only Starbucks fan.

You are right CHG_CANON. Especially after the sermon on Sunday in my church was on turning the other cheek. But it’s so hard when dealing with people who think they know what’s best for strangers.
