Thanks. That appears to be a site with a broad reach of information.

Okay!! Thanks for clearing this all up for a bunch of us . . .

Oooops!!! Let me try that again. A big THANKS to all the responders on this one. I have had that question about this site name for a good while, but felt I was probably the only one who didn't know the answer -- thought that 'some day' I have to look it up.
Anyway, this was a great way to start my day -- rather than all the Obama crap and other garbage going on these days.
Thanks again . . . and like that old saying, "Keep those cards and letters coming."

I totally agree about the garbage supposed 'reality TV' is. And the comments about the music being ridiculously loud so that you have to turn up the volume just to hear the dialogue; but then turn it back down when the commercials come on...
Another small thing that catches my eye on many of the shows I do watch (ie; CSI, NCIS, etc) is when someone brings a 'fresh' covered cup of coffee in to their coworker, is that that coworker will tip that cup up as though drinking the last drop therein, making it obvious that the cup is nothing but an empty prop.
Oh well, - - fun, fun, fun . . .

Makes me think about all the times I tell the Mrs that, "I gotta stop and get a picture of that someday." This is a perfect time of the year, not many leaves on trees and shrubs, to get out and get shots of those old barns and farms houses that have been left behind in 'days of old'.
Great shots -- the kind I would love to have taken myself.

There is not much that anyone can add to the comments that all the others have made thus far to say just how much talent your granddaughter has. She must have other pieces of artwork - a lot of it just laying around - that would also bring surprising accolades for her talent. Maybe we will all see her name deservingly posted someday.

I don't follow college sports much; mainly because I don't have a personal connection to any of them (read between the lines there). But I remember a short while back hearing on the news, which I wasn't paying much attention to at the time because - - you guessed it, - they covering sports at the time. Anyway, I heard something in the background that there had been an approval for the local university's head coach to get $800,000. I thought, "Darn that isn't a bad salary for a head coach." But then I heard that amount was being added to the $2,000,000 he was already getting. Wow, was I surprised!! But wait, - - Within the next few days, I almost fell through the floor when they were talking about how the school was having to cut some classes, because they were $50,000 short. (I believe they were cutting in the music field, but come on...!) I wondered why that coach couldn't step up and tell them to simply cut his pay increase to cover those classes. He didn't, of course; and the last I heard, his salary is about double what it was when all this was going down. Oh, well; sorry for the rant.

Re Prairie's comment about changing underwear in Vietnam, I recall when the sergeant called us together one day and announced we'd be changing underwear that day. After all the surprised smiles began to die down; he then went on to say something like, "Jones, you change with Jackson; Smitty, you change with Rusty, . . . "

I'm always trying to edit my pictures on the computer to get them to look even halfway as good as what you do. Maybe I should try using a brush . . . Do ya think it might help?
I've often wished I had even a little of your talent.
Great artwork!!!

I have seen those off and on over the years, some in different formats; and I have laughed, then the next time smiled, and now as the years progress view with thoughts in my mind like, "Darn, those were funny the last time I saw them. I didn't know they were supposed to be warnings of what was to come."
Thanks, and like they used to say way back when, "Keep those cards and letters comin' . . . "

I, too, have seen that a good number of years ago; but it continues to be an interesting read. I just don't want to get started thinking about all the corruption out there perpetrated by lawyers themselves who do all they can to twist the law just to put money into their own pockets. It's not like they do it for the justice of law-abiding citizens or anything . . .

I really like that one and will pass it along. Since I retired, I find myself spending a lot of time on the computer - sometimes a lot more than I should. Mama will sometimes point out the many projects out in the garage that I say I will get to 'one of these days'.
