Thanks, I will give that a try. I always use the tripod on waterfalls, just gotten lazy on the polarizer
I found a clip on ebay (from china) that clips the lens cap to your shoulder harness. Out of the way, and convenient to find.
Have a great time. Lots of good times out there. I am thinking about heading out there in the winter time. To me, winter is magical

Havent used the sigma enough yet to see if I get that flare
No filter, and using the Tamron with the hood on.
Thanks
Everytime I get lens flare, I have the hood on. Maybe its just me, I cannot see anything resembling the lens flare until I get home
I dont get this very much, but I am curious as to how to avoid lens flair. The sun was on the water behind the bridge. Pretty normal shot. F9.5 (aperature mode) with my Tamron 18-270.
Thanks
I own the 60d, and love it. A buddy of mine just got the 70d and he is very pleased. I think both would serve you well
I am down in the Kingston area. Heading up to Kaaterskill Falls early tomorrow morning
That was a shot at the Mystic Aqurium. They only had the African Pengiuns
Very nice. I will be visiting there in a week to visit my dad who is interred there. Hoping for some nice photo weather while I am there
This guy had three buddies with him waiting on the coyotes to finish with an elk carcass
This guy had just got up for the day.
I have been lurking for awhile. I am somewhat new to photography (about a year), but have made great strides in mastering my skills. I do quite a bit of hiking in the Catskill Mountains, so most of my photography is landscapes.
I am currently using a Canon 60d, Tamron 18-270 and a Sigma 50-500.
