Going to Utah to see the National Parks. Can't hike will have to drive to see them. Is there a good route that I can take to get good photos?

Could you please give us a hint and tell us which National Parks you are going to visit?

Given that there are five major National Parks in Utah, and not knowing your time limits, it is difficult to suggest a "best route" to follow. Suffice it to say, getting good photos will not be a problem, although hiking would greatly increase your access to great locations. The good news is there are numerous places in Utah for photos in addition to the NPs, so fear not, whatever route you end up taking should lead to many great photo ops, probably more than you can adequately cover in a week's excursion. Enjoy your trip.

I have been to Bryce and Zion and both parks are easy to drive through with a good road. Bryce has a number of pull outs where you can stop and get lots of great pictures. Zion has some pull outs as I recall. Have a great trip.

A good place to stay to see nearby Canyonlands, Arches and Dead Horse Point State Park is in the town of Moab. The places you listed are all paradises for photography. Enjoy your trip and drive safely.

If time is an issue, my friend in Utah told me when I was making my plans that Zion requires more hiking to get to the good views. You may want to check that out. We did go to Bryce and you can get good views from pullouts. The best one is at 9300 feet. I did feel some altitude sickness, so I just thought I'd let you be aware of that. Everybody else seemed ok. Monument Valley is a great trip but the road is terrible. You have to be careful. The open air jeeps that they take you around in are pretty dusty. I'm glad we were in our car so we could stop when we wanted to.

Also depending on when you are in Zion, part of the park you have to ride a shuttle, which has stops at various points , you can get on and off. Most you can drive through on your own.
