Love these pictures of the old steam engines. I see you visited the Quincy Steam Hoist property in Hancock, Michigan-my hometown for 70 years. When I was a kid I use to play in the Round House where 3 steam engines were parked. All covered in Casmaline or some such preservative. The Round House Office still contained a huge roll-top desk filled with Time Slips. I have many stories related to that property 🙂
Love your shots! I was in that exact place walking the same trail several years ago. The friend who took us there showed us the flat rock area with the small pools you photographed. He showed me how to a get gorgeous picture of the mountain, he might have called it Cathedral Rock, by getting down real low behind a small pool and shooting the reflection.
I can't empty the trash on this iMac because "The Macintosh HD is in the Trash." Yes, it is there. I don't know how it got there, but I can't get it out. It's been there for over two years. I'm open to suggestions.

I still have a $2 bill my dad brought back for me from Guantanamo Bay Cuba. He was working on a construction project on the military base back in the 60’s I think. The military was paid with $2 bills at the time.
Maybe they are designed better now, but I seem to remember a car model that you had to lift the engine to create enough room underneath it to remove the oil pan. Maybe it was the spark plugs. Maybe both. My memory is not what it once was. Either way whoever designed that car should be forced to change out those items several times by himself in order to keep his job.
