I guess it comes down to picture quality, if I'm in Europe and I want pictures that I would be proud to show anyone it's worth time and effort to take pictures with a real camera otherwise I might as well use the camera on my phone, I don't see the advantage of picture quality in a POS, oops I mean P&S

Thanks for the info, I just got a Canon 7D, this is a big up grade from the XTI, best lens I own is the 24 105 F/4 L, the leaves aren't ready in NY yet but probably by next week, looking forward to posting more pictures soon !!!!!!

Bought a Canon XTI a few years ago that came with 3 EF S lenses, I have been shooting with L glass for a while and never gave these lenses another thought, there was a macro extension with the lenses so I thought I would try it out, the macro extender was junk but I was blown away buy the cheap 50mm prime lens, I shoot in RAW and used the free Canon DPP for these shots

Just bought a Peak Designs strap, works great, love the quick disconnect, looks great
