And to Jerry disappointment it came in different color of the leatherette but the metal parts are only in black no chrome.

I'm going for the all black but don't be surprised if they bring the chrome out a little later.

Nikon has just introduced it's NEW Nikon Zf, that has a B&W option. The camera is very nice and those of us who remember fondly our FE, FM, FE2 and FM2 will like the look.
But, as I already have the ORIGINAL Zf, I am referring to my Chrome Nikon FE with 50mm 1.8 lens, I will continue to use it while lusting after the New Nikon Zf.
I also load my FE with Ilford XP2 super 400 B&W film that is processed using the same process as color film.
So, good luck to Nikon, I wish them the best, but for me now I will continue to shoot the ORIGINAL Zf.

I just might upgrade from my Z6 to the Zf. Tempting.

If you haven't already, I would clean the contacts on the lens. Other than that, I don't know.

You obviously did not read his post.

As I told the OP.
He could do the test and find out. (however the test would not be conclusive because I believe if there is problem it's only some of the time not always).
I believe the card would work just fine the way he described.
But I would never do that.

Funny how a mindless question can generate 4 pages of discussion.

I had the monthly plan for several years and one day the printer said it couldn’t connect to HP. I went thru the usual googling and YouTube help and still no connection to HP. I called them and went through a process to reconnect. The printer didn’t show that but she assured me that it was. She said check my account the next day to prove it. The next day it was still not connected. I repeated the above and got reconnected for a day, but lost it. I was getting low on ink, so I called and cancelled the instant ink program which had been auto-billed all along. I ordered new ink cartridges from HP, paid for them. The next day my printer displayed a message saying the cartridges in the printer couldn’t be used because they came from the instant ink program that I had cancelled. Had I not ordered and paid for new ink, the printer would have been dead in the water. I’m done with instant ink.

How much is the monthly plan?

Depends on how many pages you print per month.

Four of my 5 cameras require the cards I am talking about. One, my Nikon D4s, requires a XQD card and a CF Format card. Everything else requires the SD and CF cards. Yes, I have older cameras. Not everyone can afford new cameras every time one comes out.

Besides the fact that the cards I need are not available everywhere anymore.

Nothing wrong with older cameras. I have several classic Nikons ranging from D40 to D750. I have more fun shooting them than I do shooting my mirrorless camera.

My apologies for not reading through the entire posting. However, I recently came across some information I feel needs to be shared. I sent a local camera store a question if they handled CF Format 64Gb cards, and was told they did not carry that anymore. Nor do they carry SD cards. Now the requirement is XQD and CF Express cards so I would have to go to Amazon. So I ordered a CF Format 64Gb card on September 13 and expect to receive it around October 10.
So be prepared for this problem to show up in your life.

I just ordered a couple of CF cards from Amazon last week and got them the next day.

Maybe in your life that happens but not in mine. When I say, with all due respect, I am pointing out I don't wish to start a problem but this is my opinion. If you can come up with a better and more polite manner then I welcome it.

Just drop the fake “with due respect”.

With due respect to you and of course to Paul, it would seem you are answering questions that were never asked nor were the answers needed. The OP simply asked if a card could be transferred from one camera to another without formatting in between. I have not done it but suspect it will work just fine with each camera name/information being recorded on the file when downloaded to a computer.

The information you provided to please Paul wasn't asked for nor was it needed in my opinion.

Anytime someone say “with due respect” they mean the opposite.

What is missing is in the question. What are the best practices? I am starting to sound like Paul of Chicago. First, start with a newly formatted chip in that camera by that camera. Second, until the data is captured directly from the chip and is uploaded in two places, do not format the chip. I am about to go on a two-week shoot with two cameras that are capable of exchanging cards. I will not format the chips even though backed up to the portable and external drive (2) until I run out of capacity on multiple chips. When I return home, I will upload from the saved chips unless I must depend on the portable for the solution. My Nikons chips show the name of the camera from which it came. This tells you right away, albeit small, there is a difference. You spend thousands on equipment and travel, not having enough chips makes no sense. FAQ - can you take a chip used in one camera and format it\use it in the other camera? Yes...no problem.

I have 2 cameras; Sony RX10 IV and Sony RX100 VII

If I put a memory card in the RX 10 IV and format it, then take
some photos, can I then just take the card and put it in the RX100 VII
and continuing taking photos?

Also, if I cannot do the above, would I be about to do it if I did not initially
format the card?

Many thanks,
Larry

Why don't you just run the experiment for yourself instead of relying on the less than reliable information you will get on here?

Almost 6 years ago I bought a Brother MFC-J985DW printer for $169. I see it on Amazon for $700-$900. What's so special about this printer??? Anyone have thoughts about the huge price difference?? Thanks

You're saying this is the exact same printer with the exact same model #? I don't think so.
