Both locations aren't selling them. They had rented them for a while but aren't anymore.

Has anyone used the Lensbaby for their photography. I watched a set of classes with a photographer that found her passion with these lens. Her specialty was flowers. The effects she achieved with the different styles of this lens was breath taking. I went to my local photography store, which by the way is awesome, discontinued selling them. They stated because their were too difficult to use. Viewing this instructor when she used these lens appeared very straight forward. She had about 4 different "styles" of these lens. B&H sells them but I wanted to see if any of you could give some feedback with your experiences?
As always thank you in advance for any and all info.

Just wanted to say I am so about the loss of your equipment. That must have been a sad day! Enjoy the "new" journey experimenting with different equipment.

Purchased a Canon Pro printer several years ago from our wonderful local photography store. They were selling these printers for $350.00 and had mail in a rebate for them for $350.00. Cost $000.00. Not sure if all the Pro models are just for photography, but that was what I needed. Good luck and happy printing.

Wow bettis1, you wanted to get some friendly advice and some replies wanted to hang you upside down. Many of them need to go back to bed and get up on the right side and start the day again. Maybe we need a forum for "Grumpy Old Men"! have a great day.

He doesn't look too happy with you! So fun when you see something unusual and get the shot. Great job.

My thought is this shot was taken from above the falls looking down. The illusion being that the picture was taken from the side and the water flowing towards you instead of away.

I would like a shot between the two. The top loses some detail in shade and the bottom a little too light green in leaves. The balance of the two would be in my opinion much better. Good luck on deciding, sure your boss will love it!

I am surprised on how many responded to using UV filters for protection. I have come across many professionals articles and videos stating that the less that is on the lens the "sharper" and "cleaner" your images would be. The additional lens would give a slight distortion. Obviously, not taking care could result to be very $$. Also I have read that many of us treat our cameras like fragile crystal and that cameras are more durable than we tend to think of. Before all of you write me the riot act, this opinion includes always be smart, use the lens caps when storing and transporting.

Thank you for the information. I appreciate the time and thought for the information you provided. Also given with without all the "anger" that leaped when asking this question in the beginning. Looks like I have a job ahead of me and just need to proceed forward and take my time and declutter my catalog and enjoy it. Thank you again.

I would assume deleting the catalogs will not effect the files in my picture folders?Would you recommend going first to my pic folder and organizing files THERE before importing into catalog? Or can I go file by file and import them into LR and at that point label and create my catalog and keywords for my images? Doing all the organizing in LR regardless which folder they came from and moving them in correct categories I know #1 rule never move images outside LR after importing them into the catalogs. LR won't be able to locate them. Am I looking correctly to straighten the chaos? Thank you in advance. You have been kind.

Thank you for all the posts regarding LR. I fully admitted it was due to my error of jumping into the program before evaluating the plus and negatives, and how best to build my catalog. I needed this filing system due to the mess of all my files in my picture folder. I GET it, my fault. I was just hoping to get some advice how to get pictures located, labeled and organized. How the best way to achieve a clean "slate" in LR and being able to locate and categorize my pics. If someone has some advice that doesn't compare my error to getting into a plane I would appreciate it. Also, I made no reference to LR vs PS. Not a battle I have interest in nor wanting to prove someone being ignorant. Appreciate the help.

Being guilty of being one of those users that jumped into lightroom, now am wanting to start all over. Removing the present files and start with a clean slate. Reading so much more and learning the true benefits of the program, I am make more of a mess trying to clean up the catalog, categories, ratings etc. Can anyone suggest the best way to achieve this? Would truly appreciate the advice, so I don't make a larger mess. My files on my hard drive are all unorganized from years, using different imports, should the cleanup begin there? then import? LOST in all my own doing,HELP
