Black men don't get it.

(Reuters) - Police killed Jayland Walker, a Black man in Ohio, by shooting him as he ran from officers.

Thousands of videos, thousands of news items on the radio and TV, but black men still run???????????????????

Maybe he preferred a quick death as opposed to 9 minutes of suffocation?

Barn Owl wrote:
On July 17, I checked on the Barn Owlets in my research nesting box, some 17 feet up on a hunting tower. I was pleased to see there were five healthy owlets. The wind, heat, humidity, and a face mask were a challenge for me. Note the rodent remains (pellets) in the nest. Barn Owls are stealth predators of rodents. Another interesting fact is that the adult owls do not provide the owlets with any water. The owlets obtain their water through the metabolism of the prey.

Those are the cutest things I've seen in a quite a while. I wish we had them. Thanks for posting.

That's great! Nice shots of some babies we don't often (or ever) see. I didn't notice the baby peeking out from behind that round object until second look.
Thanks for sneaking in and getting some shots

Thanks for looking and commenting Jimmy. I seldom ever post now days unless I get something a bit out of the ordinary.

For the past two summers, a Black Vulture has had her young in our barn stable. We only use the stables to store stuff that should be thrown away, but that may be why the mama chose it, lots of places for the young to hide. I decided to try to get a couple shots while she went hunting or took a break. These are not very good quality but I was in kind of a hurry to get the shots before she returned and puked on me. They WILL do that if they feel threatened. That is not an "old wive's tale" (or old husband) The stable is dark as night so I had my brother hold and shine his led flashlight in the stall while I guessed at the focus and VERY quickly took a couple of shots. Most babies are cute but these------ Anyway, it's something a bit different.

Wow! These are wall hangers, especially the last one. You are sooo lucky to be able to have a Bluebird house. We can't have any because a cat family moved in.

Which ever it is, it's too cute for words. Since they are both females it is probably some territorial spat.
