Nice shots but nothing that says "Cape Henlopen" to me, what about dunes, beaches, lighthouses, Bob.

Thanks, Bob. Dunes, beaches and lighthouses didn't make the cut this time around.

A Green Heron stopped in for some chow in the neighbor's yard. I'm not sure where he's coming in from or what their natural habitat is...but apparently he found easy pickins in the yard.

A few variables to consider. Different planes, different rpm's of the prop. If you go too slow, you might not even see the prop...and the slower you go, the tougher it'll be to get the rest of the photo sharp. I like to see the prop but with rotational blur. There is a balance and each situation will differ to some degree. Depending how steady you are and you're panning technique, you might try 1/100 or even slower. Many planes in air shows paint the tips of the props so they aren't "invisible". If you don't like the 3 blurred props with spaces between, slow it down and find the balance of sharpness and prop blur you're happy with.

SS 1/100 is probably unnecessarily slow. You're making it very difficult to maintain sharpness. 1/200 or 1/250 will get you prop blur.

Trump is not the problem....From a Craigslist ad that ran a week before the Charlotte protests.

What does this ad have to do with anything? It's for Charlotte, NC. The protest was in Charlottesville, VA. Trump is not THE problem....but he is a problem. But this ad from Craigslist is irrelevant.

My suggestion:
Mode = shutter priority ISO = Depending on light conditions but 100 to 200 generally works
Airborne - Prop plains = Shutter speed 1/100 -- on the ground 1/90 to 1/80 ----
Jets: Shutter speed --- as fast as light conditions & your camera will allow
Lens: I use a Canon 100-400 IS -- Will be upgrading to the newer version with the 4 stop IS

There is no best camera, lens, etc. What is best for you will not be best for another person. What is best for action photos will not be best for portraits. Everything is a compromise. An entry level DSLR-like a Nikon D3300, or D3400, can serve generally, but a mid level, or upper level, 'enthusiast' DSLR camera will be better overall. A refurbished Nikon D7100, or D7200, would be a good choice. If you want a simpler, easier to use, item, a new 'Bridge' camera such as the Nikon B500, or B700, would be good. Canons, Fujis, etc, are good, too, but may not be as good. All of Canon's Pro cameras use CF memory cards...which are pretty much obsolete. All of Canon's Consumer cameras have Low Pass Filters, which make images blurrier. Fujis have fewer lenses available for them. Nikon seems to be the best compromise to me, but you may feel otherwise. If you buy a DSLR, or a Mirrorless, camera, with interchangeable lenses, spend time learning to use it. If you want to rely on Auto, or Program, modes, and let the camera do the work, so you don't have to learn much, get a Bridge camera. In the DSLR line, I would suggest the Nikon D7100, or D7200, and buy factory refurbished from nikonusa.com. If you go the Bridge camera route, I would suggest a new Nikon B700.

Either you're making great effort to oversimplify your opinion for a beginner.... or you don't really know what you're talking about.
