Dumb ass!! If he were a bad ass he would ignore fake news, SNL and news casters who get under his skin. No response is much better than the rants he's been spewing.

Thank you...that sounds more Christian than his quotes. I guess it depends upon ones morals, how they were raised and someone's own values and how they value other humans.

Do you receive any income? I'd be willing to bet you do. Why should my wages pay for your insurance when you also have income. Note....my/you/your in this case are used in general terms and are not necessarily meant to represent sjfh and MsLala.

There are two parts of the insurance which I'm required to pay for monthly, so does that mean you still pay for my insurance?

[quote=WNYShooter]Sorry to hear about your impediments, but I would argue that your not unemployable since you're obviously able to surf the internet, type out posts on websites, and you write quite well. The only thing preventing you from working is your own decision not to.[/quotein

I use one hand and chicken peck with one finger while surfing the internet, type posts, or answer e-mails. It takes me at least three times as long as it used to to type a post. Thank you for complimenting me on my writing, but as a former educator I needed to not only be able to write, but teach writing. Some days though, my writing is fogged because of the pain medication I'm now forced to rely upon or the severe migraines I get weekly due to the nerve damage. So if you're an employer would you hire someone who relies on pain medication to make it through the day, will need a break every hour or so, will most likely be absent once per week (maybe more), will need to leave for doctors appointments, etc.? Just curious.

I'm sorry you have challenges, but you're not alone....we all have them. The truth is, you can overcome...you just don't choose to do so.

These people are far worse off than you and don't let that stop them.....

Yes, they have overcome challenges far worse than mine, but don't pretend or assume to know what I can and can not overcome. Everyone is different and I did not take me out of the workforce two separate judges did.

There is no constitutional right to insurance or even to health coverage for that matter. Maybe they should try getting a job like the rest of us.

Some people, myself included, would love to go out and "get a job" as you say so flippantly. I taught Special Ed. for years and I was attacked by a 16 year old boy who had about 100 lbs more weight on him than me. He caused severe nerve damage from my neck, throughout my right arm to my fingers were I have lost feeling within certain areas of my arm and hand. My right arm is useless, I can't do anything with it, I'm in constant pain and because of this I can no longer do what I loved, teach. So it's easy for you and others to say "go out and get a job" when there are people like me out there who would love to get a job but are legitimately unable to do so.

I paid into Social Security for over 30 years I'm entitled to receive benefits now because I'm disabled by no fault of my own. When a party, either one, wants to take from Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security, when the POTUS during his campaign promised those resources would not be touched, and provide tax breaks to the 1% there's a problem with the system. I'm sorry you got stuck with such a high bill for you surgery, that's not right either, but rather than repeal the whole ACA why not replace what's not working and keep what is? I believe that's what the Senate is considering right now, but I could have heard that wrong.

But, what I'm saying is please don't just assume everyone can go out and rejoin the workforce or that those who are disabled are just lazy because they don't work. I know there are those out there that play the system, but there are others, like myself, that are truly disabled and want to work but can't. Also, remember all disabilities are not visible so never assume anyone is faking it.

Same here...the ocean can be a terrifying creature, one has to know when to back off when it's angry like it was the day you captured this shot. 🙂

How do you get "Nobody will be hurt by an act of legislation"???

Each of the 3 previous versions of trumpcare, were going to throw at least 22,000,000 people off of their Healthcare plans. And the latest version would also affect employer sponsored Healthcare plans, so no one was going to be exempted from potentially losing their Healthcare plans! For many of those 22,000,000+ people, that act would become a death sentence, because they would no longer have access to medications or doctors.

One of the arguments given this week by none other than kellyann was to go get a job. This coming from a member of the "Privileged Class" that's one of the 1%, and a mouthpiece for trump.

In many cases, either they already have jobs without Healthcare coverage, or they've been designated as disabled and unable to work.

Put yourself in the shoes of the underprivileged.

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself without Healthcare in the middle of potentially lifesaving medical treatment?

Or here's another scenario! Your family member has become addicted to a substance, and kellyann told you that the addict just needed "the will" to get clean!

Addiction requires a multi pronged approach to treatment and recovery, of which "the will" or desire to get clean is just the first step along the path of their treatment.

So, tell me just how legislation doesn't hurt anyone when the Republicans are so gung ho to get tax breaks for the rich and famous in the guise of Healthcare legislation, at the expense of the low and lower middle class?
How do you get "Nobody will be hurt by an act... (show quote)

Szalajj...You hit the nail on the head! From what limited information we have been privy to from Congress relating to the repeal and replacement of the ACA, those who are on the lower end of society's ladder of wealth are due to suffer the most with the Republicans answer to healthcare. For once I would like to see Congress do something positive for all Americans, not just the upper 1%. It seems as if if one is not on the upper steps on the ladder of wealth in America we are forever screwed and this healthcare reform is just their latest way of tightening those pesky screws again.

Speaking of KellyAnne Conway, "getting a job" is a death sentence for some people. Many of those who rely on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are retired and have put their time in. These programs were developed to help those who needed aid, yes there are some who fraudulently use the system, but it's the job of the agencies to determine who. The government shouldn't punish the whole because of a few. But, Ms. Conway should take her own advice and go out and find a job rather than laying on her back for The Donald. From what I understand, she had a pretty good reputation prior to joining up with Trump. Too bad she screwed that up.

The disabled, elderly, poor and lower middle class should not be made to suffer due to their conditions, whether economic, physically, mentally, or all of these combined. Congress willingly proposing to ensure 22,000,000+ Americans will be without insurance as a result of their new and better healthcare bill seems not only unamerican, but lead by a party of family values lacking any morals or moral judgement. They need to go back to the drawing board and do better, much better because as it stands now, Trumpcare SUCKS!! And in all honesty, I don't think the Republicans will have the votes.

Fantastic capture!! You definitely caught the upset of the Atlantic pre-storm. The furry of the waves against the darkness of the clouds paints a picture of what's soon to come.

Interesting, Jerry. I had no idea that was how the first photo was sent by phone. Can you imagine what today's world might be like if no one ever thought of transmitting photos through phones, the web, or e-mails? Grandparents would be lost. 😉
