The New Boyfriend

One night a teenage girl brought her new boyfriend home to meet her parents, and they were appalled by his appearance: leather jacket, motorcycle boots, tattoos and pierced nose.

Later, the parents pulled their daughter aside and confessed their concern. "Dear," said the mother diplomatically, "he doesn't seem very nice."

"Oh please, Mom," replied the daughter, "if he wasn't nice, why would he be doing 500 hours of community service?"

they're way overpriced...unless the battery grip provides a much better grip for you why buy one? you can switch out a battery in 30 seconds or less.

Windows 8 got off to a bad start. 8.1 was a big improvement, however lately I've been using Windows 10 Technical Preview and from what I've seen it's going to blow away everything prior...not only that, for a year Windows 10 will be a free update for anyone with Windows 7 or 8...

Unfortunately we don't have an effective opposition party in the USA. The GOP is a joke, they ran for office last election promising to stop Obama's wrecking of the country's economy and moral fiber but since getting elected to office they're (with only a few exceptions)working with the Democrats to forward Obama's agenda. This is only possible because a large percentage of the population fails to realize that our two political parties exist only to convince stupid people that they really have a choice: they don't.

Is Amazon the only company which has the item you want to buy? If not, buy from some other company which offers faster delivery.

FIRST LETTER:

My Dear husband:

I'm writing this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you.
I've been a good wife to you for the last 20 years & I have nothing to show for it, and the last 2 weeks have been hell.
Your boss called to tell me that you left your job today which was the last straw.

Last week, you came home & you didn't even notice I had a new hairstyle, had cooked your favorite meal & even wore a brand new nightie.

You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching your TV soaps. You don't tell me you love me anymore; you don't want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Either you're cheating on me or you don't love me anymore; whatever the case, I'm gone.
Your EX-Wife.

Don't try to find me. Your BROTHER & I are moving to New Zealand together! Have a great life!

REPLY:

Dear Ex-wife,

Nothing has made my day more happy than receiving your letter. It's true you & I have been married for 20 years, although a good woman is a far cry from what you've been.
I watch TV soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & bitching. Too bad that doesn't work any more.

I DID notice when you got a hair do last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was 'You look just like a boy!'
Since my father raised me not to say anything, if you can't say something nice, I didn't comment......and when you cooked my favourite meal, you must have got me confused with MY BROTHER because I haven't eaten prawns for 7 years. About the new nightie: I turned away from you because the $299.99 price tag was still on it, & I prayed it was a coincidence that my brother had just borrowed $300 from me that morning.

After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I won the $20 million Lotto, on Saturday, I left my job & bought 2 tickets for us to Paris , but when I got home you were gone.

Everything happens for a reason, I guess.

I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted.
My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won't get a dollar from me.

So take care.

Signed,

Your Ex-Husband, Rich As Hell & Free!

P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this, but my brother Carl was born Carla. I hope that's not a problem.

I joined Costco for a year but never bought much there...I always found the same items cheaper elsewhere. They have a variety of types of items: cameras, computers, vacuum cleaners, etc. but not much to choose from within any type and forget finding a sales person who knows much about the product. At Costco, the check out lines were always long. The last time I was there there was one checker working and the guy in front of me was buying about $800 of food for a day care including 26 gallons of milk, at least one of which was leaking all over the floor. That was it for me at Costco....I put down the one item I was going to buy and never looked back. Think about it, you have to pay extra to buy from a place where there's little service and other stores sell cheaper?? As for cameras....B&H and Adorama in NYC are the best I've found along with used camera broker KEH in Atlanta. Don't waste your time with the amateurs....

I do have one and love it....use it more than all my DSLR gear combined....most of my Canon gear was bought as refurbs from Canon USA or Adorama....never had a problem with anything except a 14mm f/2.8 lens which wasn't very sharp, so sent it back for full refund. All the Canon refurbs have the same warranty as new equipment, however you have to be careful where you buy as sometimes a dealer like Adorama will have the same item as the Canon website but at a lower price, sometimes a lot lower.

I've got quite a collection of bodies, lenses, flashes, etc. but every day I'm finding myself using my Canon SX50 and S100 point and shoots 95% of the time and reserving the DSLRs when I have to have capabilities not available with the P&S cameras. Let me say I have not been disappointed and end up taking more pictures than before simply because I'm much more likely to have a P&S available 24X7 than to have a heavy and bulky DSLR camera and lenses with me. It used to be if you wanted to have great technical capabilities you had to have a big DSLR, not today...even many cellphones have great picture capabilities. My advice: go light and you're more like to be there when that great photo op develops.

Great glass on a lesser body always beats average glass on a top of the line body, IMHO. But if you're thinking about 1DX you might want to wait, an upgraded 1DX should soon be offered.

I'm sorry, but I've read non-biased reviews of Kenko tele-converters and using one on a fine camera like the 7DII and 100-400L is lens is somewhat like buying a Maserati and putting recaps on it. The lens/camera combination is never going to be better than the weakest link.
