I'm only afraid of two kinds of snakes: Live ones and dead ones.
The live ones are what get to me.
My 4 year old granddaughter lives on a river with her mom and dad (my son). She knows the difference between 'good' snakes and 'bad' snakes and tells me which it is whenever we see one. The good ones are left alone or relocated by my son and the bad ones meet their fate so that it's safe for my granddaughter to walk outside.

Very cool shots... How long was your lens
Thank you. Was taken with my Canon SX50. Don't remember the zoom I used but it wasn't too far from me.

In the south they will definitely be in the trees. Was in a boat fishing years ago when we went under a limb and one fell in the boat. I couldn't get out of that boat fast enough which is about the stupidest thing I probably could have done.
Out of the boat with a snake into the river with gators. 😉

Oh my goodness! I'm not normally afraid of snakes, but if I'd seen this on MY walk, I'd run screaming!
I saw the snake overhead right before I walked underneath the large branch which was about 2 ft from my head. People were casually walking underneath without a clue what was above them unless they saw me pointing my camera at the branch.
LOL ... just about right, Dennis. I'm not a fan of snakes myself but somehow they fascinate me so if I'm at a safe distance then a photo shall be taken.

Great photos. I hate snakes so that thing must be at least 500 feet long and weigh 3 tons.
Dennis
When walking trails in the south, one needs to look right, left, UP and DOWN.
Beautiful photos, Erv. The trees look as if they're on fire. Keep up the exercise, you're doing great.
Beautiful blue skies and puffy white clouds. So good to hear you're back at work, Erv. Don't push yourself too hard, though.
Erv, I've been offline for awhile and just read about your stroke. Thank the good Lord that you're doing better now and regaining your strength. We enjoy your posts and hope you continue keeping us abreast of Harrison, Janny, your home and the beautiful countryside near your place.
If the camera is a bit heavy for you to hold, I wonder if using a tripod might be of some assistance in keeping it still and helping with the weight while taking a photo? Just a thought.
Keep up those exercises, Erv; am asking God's blessings on your complete recovery.
The sky was magnificent and the water level is very high. Nice job, Mohammed.
Great photos. Will make me stop and check out hollowed out logs more often on my nature walks. In my local park I know of several trees with raccoons in them and make it a point on my walk to check and see if the coons are hanging out in the tree at that time.
Hi Mohammed,
I really like these photos with yourself (a person) in them, they're beautiful. I've been to this park before for a picnic one summer and took the canoe around the lake. Nice memories.

No. This one is only up and running at Christmas time. I am fine with that since I have more.
Awesome collection downstairs. Looks like a fun hobby.
She sounds like a wonderful, tolerant person ... a real keeper. :-)
