thanks for sharing...I was reading the comments on the bottom of the page and I'm thinking this guy has it down what the photographer is doing.
I pasted his comment below.

What makes these photographs interesting isn't that they have a long exposure. They actually don't - a second or two at the most. What makes them distinctive is that the photographer adjusted the focus while the shutter was open. You can see where the light is in sharper focus versus when it's not - that's what gives it the cool shapes you see.

Jerry, are you sure you are clicking on the photostream tab first then the edit tab? I get the delete option under each pic there.

Thanks, but that doesn't work for me. When I click on Edit, I get a full-screen picture. I still have to click on the three dots, bottom right and then click on delete.

Yes Linda, their strange songs gave away their position and I walked in a different direction to find out what bird was making that sound. Turned out there were about 8 pairs at the marsh that day. It's rained so much here in Iowa I have not made it back there but plan on doing it soon.

I've posted a couple of yellow-headed blackbird shots this year - and one is in nearly same pose as your photo #2. They must be related :)

Aren't they stunning? And aren't their "songs" the strangest thing you've ever heard? Makes me laugh out loud!

maybe the first is a Catalpa tree. Does it get long seed pods in late summer?

I haven't seen these for years and one day there were several pairs in the marsh. The Red Wing is slightly smaller but still the boss. The Yellow Headed has a unique call to. In the second photo the bird was singing away.

I guess I have to resign myself to the fact that exif info isn't available anymore on flickr photos. That's too bad. It was good learning tool. But, tell me does anyone know if it is possible to find the map showing where the photo was taken? I always liked that info too. I also liked seeing people's profile. But can't find that either. I must be be getting old or blind.

it's there for me...when looking at a single image, click on the dots in the lower right of the screen. Hope that helps

Very nice shot of a Barred Owl, IowaDave. You are a member of growing SX50 users. It appears to be a great camera.

Thanks Gregory, I love this camera and haven't used my D3100 much since I received it. My main interest is wildlife and it seems good for this. I'm not parting with my D3100. The SX50 just fills a need for me.

I think it only works with certain modes. Try putting the knob (on top of camera) to shutter or aperture priority, or maybe even just P.

that did it Linda....Thanks
