My neighbor found the 800mm in the city's drug squad locker when the sheriff dept took over the police dept. They had it matched with a Nikon 3100 and it works only in manual. He is using it for drug investigations. You wonder how the police got it thru there budget to purchase an $ 18,000 lens.

Can't you just get the D800 a 200-2.8 lens-crop it and get the same results, or is this just look what I got- $20,000 give me a break- but then again a friend recently spent $80,000 for a truck (and a Ford)
Where does this all stop>

Spent 3 weeks on HH Plantation, go there all the time to see my mother in law. This last time we went to Bluffton Market, the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, it has a 4 mi road thru it, Then go on to Savannah. Savannah has 24 parks to shoot in, River Street, and the old houses. Down the road is Tybee Island with beach and lighthouse. Another day go over to Beaufort, SC pretty little seaside town lots of old houses (eat at Blackstones). Charleston ,SC is about an hours drive to historic District. So a little further north on Hwy 17 to reach the plantation where they filmed North & South.

First time out with my new Canon T3i. Trooper is my daughter's German Short Haired Pointer and he is ball obsessed. Comments on the before and after processing. Do you leave the background in focus or blur it out. Did not follow rule of thirds as he is too fast to compose. Comments please.

Personally I think red looks better, but any year Corvette is fine.
The problem this weekend is they are running a special on Mustangs only at thew drag strip, so it would be a waste of time to go!
