Well you just dated yourself!!!! We let those kinds of people in our range once and three people were hurt, said their guns misfired when they were turned sideways, claiming some kind of muscle spasm. Only ugly people allowed now, I go twice a week.

Thanks for the post. I can't wait till my wife gets home so I can show her the bear cubs. Not only cute but funny as all-get-out. I was born in Michigan close to Canada for those not from the USA. Lived a year in Alaska, going back next month for the Iditarod, going to Yellowstone National Park in May and June. I keep looking for an ugly, dull and boaring place. I haven't found one yet. Goint to try Australia next year, probably won't find ugly there either. That zip line is way past my adrenalin alounce for the year. But thanks for making me dream.

I missed #10, I still don't know what it is from. We didn't have a TV until 1957, do you think that is the reason? I only missed that one.

From the movie ' Over The Rainbow ' with Judy Garland.

The sample you show is for a program called Breeze. It is an old Macromedia program and is now known as Acrobat Connect Pro.

XML files are used as configuration files. They can be viewed by using Windows Notepad or Explorer. I suggest Notepad as being the easiest. Right click on the xml file and choose "Open as" then find Notepad.

When you make a configuration choice for a program such as background color, type style, or size the information is often written to an xml file. Web sites commonly use cookies to keep this type of information so the ones on your machine are most likely keeping information for programs you have installed.

When you remove a program from your machine the xml files are often left behind so many of the files you are seeing are probably doing nothing but taking up space.

Thanks for that info. I have on this computer a tiny program entitled "xml editor" - it came either with Win 7 or with Office 2007. It allows me to open and change the xml files. My plan is to do a little research on the command structure, create a "Blob" and then try to associate the xml file with a graphics program. If it works I may be able to create a splash of colour using the xml file. I spent most of last night trying to analyse Blob coding, and having decided it is not hexadecimal, I may simply borrow the code from an existing file and see what happens. I may even bring out my old VBA editor but I don't think that will work on Win 7. Anyway, when I blow up this machine I'll post some pics of the wreckage.

You people make me feel so ashamed. I am so ignorant about computers that you all seem to know so much about. Four hard drives? I didn't even know that was possible. So I at least learned something; in that great ethernet in the sky there is a place to put more information than I will ever know.

What happened? Great memories and good times. Oh, just to bring those days back again. Thanks for sharing.

What Happened? Madolin O'Hare=remove prayer from schools; Dr. Spock=don't punish for children for doing what they aren't suppose to do, just talk with them, reason with them, time-out them, but never cause physical pain! I wish it were not so but it is. I raised my sons in the 80's and 90's pretty much with the same rules as I had as a child. My parents had already passed away but the surviving grandparents (who just happened to be teachers) told me I was far too hard on my children and that I would regret makeing them work when not in school, doing chores around the house with no alowance given, etc. Now I have grandchildren and none of my children have to live with me because they can't pay their bills. I see most of the kids and grandkids daily by their choice and they thought their lives were so good they ask me to write a book about my life so they could hand it down. So I don't think we had it so bad what with the prayers we had to say and the corporal punishment for misbehavior. The memories are great but reproducing the character, with God's help, has been a wonderful thing. It is even better to watch my grandchildren being raised with the same values, Church, Honesty, Kindness and sharing with a sence of conscience. My four year old grandson and his younger brother are going to have a sister born early in May of this year. When asked if he is looking forward to having a new sister he will tell you very forcefully "NO, but I will love her just the same cause she's my sister." and I think that is alright.

Fascinating. But I my take on it is not the marvel of evolution, but the marvel of the Creator, who makes all paradises.

Looks like the Argies are saber rattling again. Great Britain no longer has any aircraft carriers (they had two in 1982). I don't think that they can defend the Falklands like they did back in 1982. The Brits do have submarines, and they could sink any Argie ship that gets close to the islands. The last thing Argentina needs is a war over the Falklands. Their economy is a basket case, and they are liable to get their nose bloodied again.

You're right, we don't have any operational aircraft carriers any more. Our two new ones will not be fully commissioned for another year or so and even then we have no aircraft to fly off them.
However, we have a much stronger defence force on the Islands than we had back in '82 and Argentina would need a huge invasion force that they couldn't afford to mount and would be extremely vulnerable to our hunter/killer subs.
I don't think they'll be silly enough to try to take the islands by force again, they're just using it as a political platform to take the population's attention off the state of their economy.
BTW did you know that in 1982 the 'General Belgrano' was sunk with WW2 torpedoes? Sometimes you can't improve on perfection.

Hey Doc ..... this rubber band gun is Now banned in the UK because of ammo capacity ..... Up until December of 2012 the UK armed their submarines with these weapons of harm along with Gucci 2 liter Pocketbooks .....

There needs to be a way to decrease the present president's term!

I would have loved decreasing bush's term.

He lost us a lot of freedoms, and no one ever complains about it.

Go figure...

Oh, YES we did. As a conservative, I complained about his refusal to close the boarders, his agreeing to overspend and that crappy bailout. We complained a lot about it but the left was not listening to that because it didn't help them for us to complain about it.

now this was not my idea ,but i thought hat it had some merit. Why not change the term of the president to a single 6 year term ,then the president can concentrate on doing the job he was elected for Running the country

I'm thinking you have something there. I term and you are out of there. 6yrs? We could probably survive anyone for that long.
