IMHO -- I go with kaerophil on this one. I think the OP's after is just a little to strong for my tastes. The windows just scream for your visual attention. If kaerophil's version could raise the shadows of the lower 2/3's I think it would be pretty awesome.

I think it's a good image and post processing. I do have a question. Did you have a UV or CP filter on the camera? That flare is the only fault and I think it might be caused by a filter or a wide open aperture.

I would find a third related picture and frame them so the color is on one side, B&W on the other and the third related photo in the center as the showcase photo. These both are frame worthy!

I use a Nikon d5100 as a backup. Something is wrong as it will not adjust the aperture or shutter. You can spin the dial and nothing happens. I've reset everything, changed batteries and lenses but it doesn't allow for setting the A or S. I've had this camera repaired once for about 200 and this one is going to be the same or more.

Should I get the D5100 fixed, buy a new D5100 or should I buy a used (D7000) as a backup?

Your thoughts?

I am very suprised to see these blinds working so well without natural cover like branches, foliage, etc. Well done!

Hi Sheila! Thanks for this. I've been many times but never as a photographer. I've since gone semi-pro and now am visiting as a professional photog. Great information. Would the bosque also be a good place for wildlife?

I have and use the 150 to 500 and have no complaints. It is slower lens and subsequently it teaches everything you want to know about your ISO, Aperature and shutter speed settings. I got mine from amazon and the retailer was 47th street photo. $1100 USD

Nate, it's the lense i was looking at. I thought the kit lense did a very good job. It is certainly cheap and i like the focal length for what i shoot.

It's nice having choices!!! Thanks for taking time to respond.
