I agree, I'll take the RR and the 850.

My friend in Norway: You are a very wise man!

If I have to explain to some, why I say that...well they most likely don't have "ANY EXPERIENCE" yet.

I really enjoyed what you had to say. Maybe that is because I'll be 70 years young this month. I am not saying that

my age attributes to my opinion on your views, it's just that for those years..."I tried to pay attention and learn".

And I try to do this each and every time I take may cameras for a walk...or just having a cold beer with the boys at

the pub. I love to read...listen...and learn. And I am sure that you applied a similar philosophy as you learned how to

restore Farriers as well.

Ansel Adams once said: That the 6" behind the camera is ware the most important thing exists! (I know this is not

the exact quote, but it's close enough)

In closing, I want to thank you for your post. And to let you know that this may be the most intelligent post of the

year!!!

Again, I thank you for your words. I just hope that they are read by the Young Artist on this forum!

Maybe...some will look up the 69 RR, and see what a "Real Mussel Car Was"!

Thanks,
Boone.

Buy whatever you want, but having had many tripods through the years I bought this K&F carbon fiber one.

I wanted a good, light, sturdy tripod to carry on my ebike. Since I knew this company to be great through my own personal use of their products, I bought one.

I am not one to be easily impressed, but I really love this one.

Take a look at this one!

Tip: The ball head is great for my 24-120 Nikon f4 lens or lighter. But if I use my heavy glass, I use my Sirui.

Cindy,
Love the shots. Well done indeed! Lots of talent behind the camera as well.

I have seen this done by my father about 60 yrs. ago. He was actually featured in our local paper. Except...he (My Dad) was doing this on "Ice Sickles"on our house. It is easy to do on Ice Sickles...but much harder I'm sure on a water falls.

Great shots...I thank you for bringing back a lot of wonderful moments in time for me.

I really liked your shots a lot.

And to you..."I THANK YOU"!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Boone.

Good for you Boone. I quit riding for similar reasons, I do miss it so much and have been toying with getting an e-bike.
Now I’m ready.

If you buy one, you will love it! Just make sure you know it well..."BEFORE YOU BUY"!!!

Thanks,
Boone.

Very nice set of images. I was hoping you would include a picture of your bike. I, too bought an ebike for the same reasons you did. I wanted to see where the electric motor was located. It makes a huge difference to have the motor where the pedal crank is vs in the rear axle. With the motor driving thru a gear train, you could ride up the side of a tree (a bit of an exaggeration) but the steepest hills are no challenge.

I did post a pic. of my bike. Did you not see it???

!It's an Aventon Aventure. M/L frame. Love mine!

Thanks,
Boone

Re: Boone: I loved the closeups. And the colors are superb. I have been trying to do the same kind of photography, but my images pale next to yours. Warm regards, Davidb.

I used a tripod or a Mono-pod for 90% of the shots. The light in the photos is the key. I just look at how the light is hitting the subject. The light in each photo was as I saw it in the lens at the time. Thanks for your time at looking, and the kind words.

Thanks,
Boone.

Beautiful Photos - excellent color - All the reasons you gave for liking your e-bike are the same reasons that I used to like my motorcycles with some added ones like the trips that a bunch of us would take together. I used to belong to a motorcycle bunch, not a gang, we were a bunch called ourselves the Mammas and the Pappas because that's what we were, all were married and had kids. We rode to help feed the homeless Vets etc. Fun times and most of us took pictures along the way but no one could match what you have.
Beautiful Photos - excellent color - All the reaso... (show quote)

Thanks for the look. I had a blast and just wanted to share my feelings. I am happy you liked the shots!

Thanks,
Boone

Your story is inspiring. A question. Where is the tripod?

Thanks for the look and kind words. The tripod is about 12' in front of the shot of me. I had a wireless control in my left hand. I used either a tripod or a mono-pod for 90% of the shots.

Firstly...this post "Is Not About my Camera, my E bike, my Lens, or my Photography". It is only my feelings at the time I'm out in nature. That's all!

So, with that said:

This year I decided to buy an e bike. In the past many years, I have had several bikes, from street bikes to dirt bikes, to Mt. bikes. In the most recent years I have had Mt. bikes. But as age creeps up on me, (I hate to admit this) I re-evaluated my mode of transportation to follow my passion of the Art of Photography.

In recent years, using my Mt. bike to go out in the country and shoot some shots had become cumbersome. I had a hard time getting my right leg over my saddle bags and my camera equipment. I like to travel light, but I like to use my "Toys", so I carry a fair amount of gear.

However this year I bought the e bike I have spent the last 18 months researching. I am one who likes to know as much as I can about a product before I buy it!

So...I bought the e bike of my all my research.

I like the idea that I can now get on & off my bike with ease, (Step Through Model) and travel the back roads & trails near my home.

So...on July 12th. my e bike arrived!

I spent the months of July and August learning how to ride my new purchase for my own safety, and for the safety of my equipment. I spent many hours in the parking lot of our local High School learning about my new bike and getting in better shape. (If you ever try this form of transportation...I highly suggest that you do something similar)

With this new form of transportation, I really had a ball this fall near my home!
I was able to climb the steep hills around my neck of the woods, get there faster, and never worry about a thing. Loved every moment.

When I was riding my bike...that's all I could think about. The wind in my face and the smell of the outdoors!
When I was off of my bike, all I could think about was how much I love my gear, and love using it. I was really at peace with all things...and I loved every moment.

With my e bike I could travel about 45mi. total in my terrain, and do it all in comfort and silence. (And get all the exercise I wanted) The deer and other critters just watched me come and go. The bike didn't seem to bother them at all.

I am a photographer of 50+ years and I mostly do Portraits of clients. I do not profess to be a Landscape Photographer, but I do enjoy the outdoors. That being said:

E bike: Aventon Aventure

Camera: Nikon D750

Lens used: Nikon 50 mm f/1.8 + 2X closeup filter.
Nikon 24-120 mm f/4 zoom (Sometimes with a 2X closeup filter)

The fallowing shots were taken this fall during Oct. & Nov.
I decided to post the shots I like the most , with the next to last shot being a collage of all the shots.

And of course...I saved the last shot of the happy man that shot them all...and had a wonderful Fall Season!

Hope I didn't bore you to much!

The following is what I had the privilege to view in my lens.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Thanks,
Boone.
