Our photo club theme for May is 'Rust" Here are a couple of mine, the truck is an old Plymouth, probably not an inch of paint on it!
Considering the time frame of the locomotive I would go with the B&W. All are great shots!
Awesome!! Really like the red one. Thanks for the tip I'll check at local Dollar stores.
I have no idea. I just shoot a lot and experiment with shutterspeed and lighting. I have done everything from an eyedropper to a sandwich bag to try to get a consistent pattern of drops. It is a lot of guess work. After seeing your shots I am going to try some gel or colored acetates. Keep shooting and continue to post.
I have used foil wrapping paper, I think it is called Holographic. It changes as the light hits it. I have also done some with everyday things with color. Love your shots.
Great shots! I have played around with water drops and love to experiment. What did you use to get the color?
ISO 400 F10 Shutter 640

Thank you all. As far as PP, a little crop and a slight sharpening. I try to keep it down because I simply do not know how to do much computer stuff!
Thanks everybody, these were supposed to be in the "Gallery" don't know what happened.
Can't wait for warmer weather to get shots like this.
Thanks to everyone for viewing and the positive comments!!
Now that I think about it, I probably did not save the cropped picture because I rarely do anything with them unless I print &frame them.
Thank you! Can anyone tell me why they are not cropped the way they are in Picasa? I have a much tighter crop on those 3 ..Thanks
Have been watching for a couple of years, just now feel confident enough to try a post . Thanks to everyone for all the info and help that is posted. All have been an encouragement to me. Hope you like my pix, these are some of my favorites.
I was in Arches/Canyonlands last April, beautiful place. I went to Mesa and it was hard to get a good shot because of the crowd. It is a small area and hard to get set up for what you want. Many people
will walk in front of you etc. I decided that the best option was to go to Dead Horse point the next day at sunrise. There was only about 10-12 others there and plenty of space for everyone. Fantastic place at sunrise. Enjoy your trip
