If your BB is set for AF/Start, then your shutter button will not activate AF. Otherwise it will defeat purpose of putting it on the BB.

If that's all you got out of it, then you gave up on thinking and pre-concluded what is going to happen or not. And you have a lot of faith in a regime that can't tell the truth about anything.

We aren't talking about a couple of kids who got an idea to terrorize people at a race.
