THANKS everyone !! I think I just like to buy cameras and I'm looking for a reason to try something new. I may ebay some junk around my house and try to keep my Canons AND buy some Nikon stuff for fun. Why not - the cameras are don't eat as much as my horses - so it's better than buying another horse!

Read my reply to Blurryeyed above.

Yes - but I was responding to a question of why I did not care for the 70D - I think Blurryeyed is ABSOLUTELY correct !!!

What don't you like about the 70d? I don't own one, but it looks like a great camera to me.

It is a great camera! But it seems like a glorified/super expensive Rebel without the awesome auto/lazy functions. At least with the old 60D you get a faster glorified Rebel with the lazy functions if you need them.
I just think if your going to spend that kind of money, and ditch the lazy functions, go with the 7D! It's sooooo fast and fun to use, with the joy stick controls.
I actually already sold my 70D to start saving for the 6D, but I'll NEVER sell my 7D !!! (I would probably keep them all like pets if I could afford it)

Hi Everyone - I have recently been thrown into a photography job because I was the "lady with the big camera". I'm doing Horse Show photography and do the Yearbooks for the local horse clubs. I actually love it - but I wish I was better. My first move is to get a FF. My new Photographer colleagues all have switched to Nikon. I'm the last out there with my big white lens. I was wondering is it really worth selling all my Canon gear to make the switch? Are the images that much better with the Nikon?
Are the colors that much better with the D610? Please let me know - THANKS

I have the SL1 and the 70d and I like my SL1 BETTER! T6s is still a Rebel - so it will be very similar to the SL1. If you really want to step up, but use your EF-S lenses, I would keep saving for a 7d or 7d mII. The original 7d is AWESOME and they are cheap right now since the Mark II came out. Another idea is the 60D -( I liked that better than the 70d too). But that SL1 is kind of a bad a#! little camera - you may just want to invest in better lenses!!!
