Indeed, I keep my fingers crossed from 200 yards away.
It is so unnatural to witness several grizzlies walk past several uncaring cows and calves. This occurs during the fall, the period biologists call hyperphagia or eating all they can eat. The bears are digging up and eating wild caraway roots. Perhaps the rancher has only provides a vegan menu.
This is a photo taken about 20 miles north of Yellowstone. Quite a popular site to view grizzly bears. The verse is Isaiah 11:7a, "The cow will feed with the bear..."
Great, I can relate to number 3: my wife telling me if I can't learn to make the bed just keep the h...away.
Thank you for posting the Colt's young life history, excellent photos.
The photo and discussion has taken my breath away. Cough, cough.
Me thinks you've udderly missed the mark. Beef cattle, probably Angus, the white one may be a Murray. (I don't see a large udder which is what dairy cattle are bred for)
Bill, you obviously are misinformed about eagles, check out the thousands of photos on this forum disproving your bias.
May 4th is is prime bison calving season. The Madison River area is good as is the northern area. Lower Falls at sunrise will make a super photo.
Where did your images go? In my case they went to Lightroom's default selection which is different from my own selection. I still have not figured out how to change the default but the photos can be found by doing a system search for a specific file. When I make a virtual copy, saved to the original location they go to default though my working original is in my desired location. Computers are a tool that I can't keep sharp.
The Nikon 200-500 is outstanding, I don't think you would be disappointed even if you wait a time for it to appear. I bought my D5500 and the Nikkor 18-300 together and, though the lens is short of the 200-500 quality, it is still a wonderful walk around lens. I know I would be unhappy with any lens of less quality.
Outstanding, so abstract that I saw my not so recent root canal.
Excellent Linda, the magpie(?) photo is very unique, it deserves some prominent wall space.
