I read somewhere that there are directors in Hollywood who still shoot their "important" movies on film and then do a digital transfer for distribution. Whatever makes them happy.

Actually not much choice. Most all theaters, especially multiplexs, only have digital projectors now. My son was a projection manager at a Regal Cinema when they made the change years back.

Have you ever tried to haul anything in your little car? Ever wish you could see the road better? Ever live out in the country?
Just asking for a friend.

I'd add that you need a truck to be able to see at night (and sometimes in the daytime) over the blinding lights of pickup trucks and big SUVs. Oh, and those that have their fog lights running, with - of course - no fog in site.

There are valid reasons for owning a truck, of course. If I lived in the country I would - BUT if you live in an urban environment, I would state that if you need to haul something that would require a pickup a few times a year, that it would be cheaper for yourself (and better for the environment) to rent a truck at Home Depot for $19.

And of course there are the people who cannot maneuver their big trucks in a grocery parking lot. It is amusing to watch sometimes.

I updated my Creative Cloud stuff from Adobe, and saw the new Neural Filters which include the "Colorize" filter. I have quite a few B&W prints and negatives that I had, so I took a picture of my mom, her brother and sister, and gave it a try.

It literally took seconds to come up with a satisfactory colorized copy. There are adjustments to fine tune, and more work can be done as the colorize output is a layer. Not bad for a "beta" feature!

1 TB SSD C: drive, 4 TB D: and a 4 bay Synology NAS with 8tb drives. Pictures reside on D drive, but synced with Synology real time. I also have a 2nd older Synology 2 bay NAS that backs up the main NAS. That backs up to a cloud account...

I also have no issues with Snapbridge with my Z6 ii. I find it very useful as TerryVX mentions for immediate posting to social media, or a quick jpg to a friend. Actually don't even have to mess with reconnecting at all..

Thaz true.

Until I find out I’m wrong, I do have an M-mode with no form of match needle at all. So far, using only Leica mount lenses I have no version of match needle at all on the Z6. I can get a histogram in the viewfinder, and thaz my only “meter readout” ... and actually an excellent readout at that.

Actually, the Z6 (and Z6 ii), has what is similar to a match needle, it resides in the bottom of the viewfinder in manual mode (and think it is there in A and S)

Very interesting...and not that much of a surprise. I mean, maybe Snap On chrome plates their sockets a little thicker or has a slightly better metal composition than others but my Sears Craftsman tools are still going strong since I acquired them in the early '70's.

And let's not forget Craftsman's unconditional lifetime guarantee. I've turned screwdrivers in for free replacements and I've seen other owners return an entire set of tools for a new set. It was a sad day when that ended since to me, it meant Sears might be skimping on quality to protect their profit margin and would no longer stand behind their product.
Very interesting...and not that much of a surprise... (show quote)

Actually, Lowes has embraced Craftsman tools, basically dumpling their own brand - and will still honor a broken Craftsman tool replacement. Replaced a screwdriver just a couple weeks ago!

Wow. That was an amazing story! I probably had a little less than 700 slides and negatives that I've been working on, but been a lot slower going with my Epson scanner!

Sadly, once your loved one's mental decline has reached a certain stage, you begin to wonder if that's really true.

I sadly concur. It is truly heartbreaking. But as I've learned in many caregiver support groups, that you still need to laugh, because even your loved ones would!

Very nicely done Ken. Great presentation, also. With your permission I'd love to put it on my church's Facebook or website...
