I always download maps I need from Google maps into my Android phone if I am traveling or going into rural areas where there may be no service. The only difference in using downloaded maps and real time Google maps is that there is no real time data with the downloaded maps, i.e., traffic, live alternate route due to backup, radar traps, objects in road, new road closures, etc.

Could you possibly elaborate at much greater length ? Weve got about twelve more pages to fill. Thank you ;-)

Looks like there is a Troll on this thread and it is you!

Yes, it is going away...and has been set up to go away.

If you listen to the marketing and youtubers (the two beacons of truth) ...it's just in a slump about to make a comeback. No one likes to think they have invested poorly...so that's all it takes to comfort the consumers.

If you listen to the numbers and how the business itself is now set up...how it was altered...and layered...
Then you know this is a Japanese business exit scene leaving the parents name intact... it's a Japanese thing.

It's was done when they set up the new corporate layering structures...writing on the wall.
Yes, it is going away...and has been set up to go ... (show quote)

Thanks, I will watch this closely before I decide to make a purchase. Maybe look at used down the road...

A product has been discontinued, therefor the sky is falling ? My conservative estimate for this trollish thread is twelve pages.

That was one of their top Pro lenses. I would not have expected it to be discontinued unless the company is in trouble or they have an imminent replacement ready to market.

A brief look on the internet has conflicting reports. Some say discontinued, some out of stock, and there’s rumor that the lens is going to be replaced. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll keep watch for a possible replacement.

I've been interested in Olympus cameras and lenses for a while specifically for wildlife and bird photography. I was thinking this might be the year so I was looking into what would be my first lenses if I buy the camera. I decided that for my purposes the OM SYSTEM 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25 IS PRO Lens would be they one I needed so I went to B&H to check availability and price. It was out of stock so I set an email alert for when it comes back in stock. Yesterday I received the following from B&H:

"You are receiving this message because you asked to be notified when this item becomes available. We regret to inform you that this item has unfortunately been discontinued. Please check back on our website for similar or possible replacement items.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."

I have had six Android phones, three of which were Samsung models, none of which would integrate my data with my Windows computer or my ChromeBook or my Windows Dell laptop. Once I found the Apple world, integration of data across all devices was available to me, a real game changer not to mention time saved.

Not sure what your "integrate data" is referring to but I can move files and photos between my Windows 10 computer and my S20 in multiple ways, several of them wireless...

I love my S20, but then I've had Android Samsung phones since the S2.

I like OP/Tech products, and I'm thinking about getting a sling strap, and the OP/TECH USA Utility Strap-Sling looks good. I don't like the idea of supporting the camera (Nikon FF) by just one point, though, but that seems to be the standard procedure. For $28, it looks like a good deal. The OP/TECH USA Utility Sling Duo looks good, too.

The reviews look good, and I like the inter-connectability of the OP/TECH system. Any comments?

I like the Peak Design Slide Strap (3 widths and prices depending on the weight of your gear). It attaches to the normal strap lugs on your camera instead of the tripod mount hole. It is also quick release leaving only small attachment straps to your camera if you want to remove it for any reason.

Thanks. Blow up the Google map until all of the downtown roads are clearly identified. Honeycut Branch road takes off to the east of town. On my map, it's shown as a blue line. I don't remember exactly, but the mill is about 4 or 5 miles out of town. Stay on Honeycut Road and you can't miss it. It is on the right hand side and clearly visible.

Tom

Thank you!

Interesting and good shots. Can you give a location of the mill? Google maps only knows where Dellingers Mill LLC is in the middle downtown Bakersville.
