We live about an hour from the park. It's pretty country. They have an overlook there. Be sure and look for it when you get there.

Thank you for the tip!

Looks good from my eyes.... Does the camera have a tripod screw on the bottom? I have a hiking pole which has a wooden knob at the top which can be unscrewed exposing a screw which can be attached to a small camera. The pole is also extendable which provides a way to extend reach out toward a waterfall, or to look into a "hole in a tree". Quite handy.

Thank you. Yes, the camera has a tripod screw. I am considering using a monopod for the upcoming trip, to be used as you have described. Thank you for taking the time to mention this.

I am planning an October trip to Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia. The park contains 4502 acres, is near Virginia’s two highest mountains, and has wild ponies.

I just bought a Panasonic ZS200. It has a 1 inch sensor and 24-360mm equivalent lens, will fit in a large pocket or small belt case, and shoots raw, with an optical viewfinder.

These are the first photos I took yesterday at Vines Park in Georgia. I wanted to prioritize hiking comfort and convenience over photo quality. I want to be able to capture wildlife at some distance.

I am still learning how to best use the settings.

For the first time in many weeks the heat index was below 100, so I went out to see what's going on!

Thank you for posting info on the new iPhones. I expect to upgrade from a 12 mini, after seeing reviews with hands on experience.

This is two photos of Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls,ID. I have a friend who will stitch the photos and I will repost at that time. I do NOT need anyone stitching the photos for me now but thank you to those of you who would have done that. I wanted UHH members to see the lack of water this time of year coming over the falls.

Dennis

Dennis,
This photo was taken 2 weeks ago by my brother in law of another brother in law. They visited Shoshone Falls after we left Boise. I don’t believe I ever saw the water as low as it was during your visit. Spring will be a major improvement in water flow.

This was taken in 2014 in Boise, Idaho. I am off loading photos to an external hard drive and found this. I always liked the photo and wanted to share.

All nice shots my favorite is the first one. Beautiful building. Looks like they were going to have a big horse event. Color on all photos dynamic.

Thank you. I am not sure if the equestrian field is owned by the church or not.

Nice set. This is a relatively new temple. They were just about done building it when we left Idaho in 2012. They did a nice job.

Thank you. Yes, it is a very attractive building with beautiful landscaping around the entire perimeter. I don’t remember the building being there while we lived there.

This set is of the temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The last photo appears to be for equestrian events. This field is next to the temple.

iPhone 12 mini.
