… dragged, giggling & pouting into the 70’s.
I’m currently working on a redux of those 50’s cheesecake pin-ups, with models, props, processing, and colour tones to try to replicate that “ Ektachrome 100 Pro” era. This is a work in progress, I haven’t worked on grain and colour decay yet, but what do you think of the work so far?
The combo I’m using here is a Canon R5, RF-EF Adaptor, and 50mm F1.2 L. BTW, I still consider this “not so nifty fifty” to be the ultimate “any light, any conditions 50mm portraiture lens” available.
Thanks All, I feel that Thistle Flowers don’t always get the respect they deserve. I feel that, in the back yard, they are a prickly pest. In the wild, they are prickly perfection. I guess it’s all about location.
Only 4 months to St. Andrews Day & the Thistles are starting to bloom.
Thanks All, for your kind comments.
Glad to hear that you liked this. Thanks All!
Libellula pulchella, at rest.
Thanks All, I’m pleased you like my efforts to capture this beautiful little fellow on the wing. They can be a little difficult to photograph in flight, especially when I’ve set the camera in single shot mode for static subjects.
Well, a very little fighter, anyway.
Here’s my tiny four-winged angel, protecting my personal airspace by interdicting mosquitoes.
He’s welcome to every one he can catch.
Thanks All, for your comments. I’m glad you liked this photograph, I wasn’t sure whether a black and white treatment of such a subject would be welcomed.
Resting from her bug captures, the World's Most Successful Predator (95% capture rate).
Maybe she's contemplating the Dragonflies Big Birthday? After all, 300 Million Years on Earth is quite a record.
Four-spotted chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata).
Those are Red-breasted Mergansers.
Here’s what I do with settings save & load functions for my CANON R5 bodies:

Takes me back to my youth. Thanks.
Me? I'm not entirely convinced...
