Andy,
Do the 2 button reset. It works wonders on the D7100.

How about a D90 with 18-140 as long as you need it and send back when things get better?

Not equivalent, but popular equivalent is probably the Nikon D90.

Is it slow with JPG?

I found the above quote in another thread. When I shoot RAW with my D5300, the reaction time between shots is slow. Is this a buffer capacity indicator? Just seems to take a long time to write to the card and get ready for the next shot. I encounter none of this with my Nikon Df.

I believe Ken Rockwell said that DX lens covers FF at 13-20 mm, soooo, Don't need crop mode on D750 from 13-20 mm.

I have D750 and D7200. They are both light and have almost identical controls. The D750 shutter speed tops at 1/4000th and the D7200 tops at 1/8000th. I believe the D7200 is a little more advanced than the D750 but FF makes up for any difference.

I am wanting to move on from auto. I have have taken some nice butterfly photos on the auto setting providing they keep still for a second but want to also catch them on the wing and all I get at the moment is a blur. I would like some advice please on the best setting to try next and I believe the shutter speed plays a large part in getting sharp in flight photos so advice on this would also be very helpful. Thank you for any help you can give.

Flash will freeze action.
