With a single tree or building that make sense but I'm talking abought for example if you stood in the middle of the street and you had buildings on both sides they would lean in. If you got one plum the other would be way out and vice versa. And thank you for your response. I should have been more specific in my initial post.

When taking photos of buildings with a crop sensor the buildings Are not plumb/vertical, Is this condition less with a full frame camera. And other than post processing and/or a tilt shift lens, Is there any other way or technique to get buildings trees etc to be plumb/vertical sooc.

Due to the Coronavirus, these centers are shutdown. How do you get a lens repaired that is under warranty? Does anyone know when the centers will reopen?

If you can wait you could always rent the equivalent lens and use it for a while or for how long you need it until the center's open

I was watching KQED the other night and I think they said that 30/40 years ago there were some 10 to 15000 camera stores throughout the US now there's less than 300

I have a D5300 and would like to upgrade my kit lenses. Thought about replacing the camera, but decided on the lenses instead. I have a Nikon 10-24 lens that I love, and I have the fixed 35mm. A faster lens with a zoom between 35-300 or thereabouts would be great.

Most photos are grandkids, action shots, and sports. The wide angle I use for real estate and landscapes.

I expect to dish out some serious money for a better lens or two. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I have a Nikon D500 but used to have the 5300 and loved it, on Both I used the Nikon 18- 300 = a 27-450 and still do, Its my walk about, go to lens of choice, Although I do hear a lot of folks like the Tamron 18-400 = a 27-600. like I said It is my go to, walk about lens, and I think the IQ is good.

I couldn't agree more about the preface statement. That being said I have both OEM and 3rd party Batteries (Pro-Master) for my D500, and previously on my 5300 and have had no problem with either, (I have about 200,000 clicks) between the 2 cameras.

If you don't mind the 6 to 8 week hold time for nikon over the one week for Canon I guess it's a good deal.

It will depend on whether you want to shoot the entire set of planes and/or individual planes and also how close you are. I used A150 to 600 on my nikon D 500 and I was out at the 5 to 600 end most of the time. Shooting from both Chrissy field and the Marin Headlands i would say the closes they got were within 1/2 a mile

Serious about Nikon D850 what FX lens to start with. I have always had Nikon..Currently using D 7200. I have had it since the first year it came out My DX lenses are 50 mm 35 mm 18-70 mm 18-200 mm 18-140 mm all Nikon...and a 100 mm F 2.8 Macro Tokina I like landscape, flowers, all out doors photography, I like the 18-140 for all a round and its lighter.

If you like the 18-140 the equivalent in an FX would be 27-210 so try and get close to that?
