I wear a cheap watch. This summer with all the humidity it got water droplets inside the crystal. What I did was to get out the seal a meal and put it in a bag and drew a vacuum on it and sealed it. BY the next day the water droplets were gone and still runs perfectly. You would be surprised how much better this works than the rice trick. john

15 years or so ago my niece with a pink barbie camera got shots that my nikon messed up. I came close to smashing the nikon. Was the last opertunity to photograph my mother before she passed. Shutter lag was huge with the nikon and the barbie was mechanical film camera.

I bet Geo. Washington and the rest of our founding fathers did not see this coming!

Like watching a pair of 9th graders debate or should I say attack each other. Crap now every 9th grader in the country is on my ass.

I am using PCLINUX, I am not sure which driver that is apparently in the kernel. The pictures I have printed 4x6 I think are a bit better than the same file printed by Walmart. Mine is a bit lighter and more detail. Just borders! And that I could live with. I had plans for framing a bunch in 5x7 for some bare wall. I will do some more searching and also the pclinux forums.

I recently bought a canon mx922 printer. The reason I bought it was that linux was supposed to have a driver. It does have one but is not very good. Has any one here had any experience with printing using linux especially to a canon printer? I can print 4x6 with borders but not border less. I can't print 5x7 except with a 4x6 image. I have not tried the larger 8.5x11 yet. The linux driver is definately crippled.

Right now the only solution I can see is to pick up a used windows laptop just to be able to have a driver. I have tried "wine" and there doesn't seem to be any hopes there.

My mx922 from amazon arrived this afternoon about 5:00. I wish they would have done a little better on identification of parts and instructions. With a dark case in a darker than normal room I had to work at it. I am running linux and the next one would be a piece of cake setup wise. Made 2 4x6 prints and looks to be the same as a store print. I have packed away a store print of one of those 2 and will compare in a day or so. This machine has a lot more features than I may need. I have not used a scanner in a couple years, and never have had a fax before. I do think I will be more than happy with it. john

Wish I had known about the QVC deal 3 days ago! Was going to get the 7220 and opted for a mx922. I would have gone for the pro 100 but I use Linux and could not find drivers for the pro 100. The 7220 was 79 and the mx922 was 89 at amazon and is a newer version with more funtions. Will let every one know what I think of it when it arises and I get some prints out of it.

For an enemy the sight of an A10 coming up blazing away from behind a tree has to be the scariest moment of his life. Even if he doesn"t die he lives to tell his friends. It would be a shame to get rid of that plane. Faster planes can not do the same job it does.

All the time I see people with apparently large familys or shopping once a month with 1 1/2 carts heaped full of groceries and the like at wally world. To see them trying to count out $359 in tens would really be a joke. I find a card that is paid off every month is the best of all ways to pay and you get rewards to boot.

I shudder every time I am in the check out line and some one ahead pulls out a check book. Seems like that takes forever. Then they need to whip out a drivers license and the clerk gives them the check back. If the wrong clerk would remember the transaction he or she could put an electronic check thru the next day and maybe never get caught.

I use a credit card for every thing I can. A hundred bucks cash some times lasts me 2 or 3 months.
