Cash is the lifeblood of crime, and most of it isn't necessary. I very seldom use cash.

I dump all my coins into a large jar and bring it to the machine at the bank. It's been almost a year, and the jar is about 1/4 full - not much shopping with cash.

I think the government agrees with you on the pitfalls of cash and believe the day will come when our currency will become a US Treasury debit card. That would give the Fed a paper trail of every financial transaction wether income, spending or loan. Not only could that be used to get crime "under control", but the government could file our taxes for us too. All we would have to do then is check our account on April 15th to find out much paid. Easy-Peasy!

The government filing my taxes for me, now THERE is my idea of rampant crime! 😳

If you need an ID card to obtain a credit card, wouldn't this be racist? It's apparently racist to want an ID card to vote?

Just wait until they decide on negative interest. Then you will be paying the bank to hold your money.

I do find that I use cash less and less these days.

Last year, we went on vacation and spent 14 days in Oslo, Stockholm & Copenhagen.

I never used cash during the entire trip.

Even the public pay toilets accepted credit cards.

I thought we might need cash to buy from local vendors at outdoor markets, but they seemed to like credit cards as well.

It wasn't quite the same this year, Prague, Dresden & Berlin......but it was close.

If all we had were 1s, 5s, and 10s, counterfeiting wouldn't be worth the trouble.

Keep going down that road where the Government knows all your finances. While you're at it, let them in your home and tell you what to do. Sheeples deserve it.

I have gone to several stores around here and cashiers find it unbelievable that I'm paying in cash. Ken you are correct in the government knowing your finances. Maintain low bank balances and even lower credit card debt.

The government's solution to that would be to ban jars.

I'm halfway there! Low bank balances, but high balances on my CCs.

Your bio says you location is "LifIno". I'm surprised there are actually stores and cashiers in LifIno.
