Love them all. As they say, its not the destination, its the journey
Iconic images. Have done the "Mother Road" several times. Every mile tells a story and it's a cornucopia of photo opportunities from Chicago to Santa Monica Pier. Hope you enjoyed your journey and here's a thought for an on-going topic..... Rte. 66 story board..
Thanks for viewing and all your comments.
A great day-trip on a sunny July day to the Illinois Railroad Museum in Union IL (about 60 mi. west of Chicago). A must-see for any railroad buffs when in the Chicagoland area. Following are a few examples of the outdoor exhibits.
Very nice. Love the subtle colors and detail of the crystal
Thanks Sailormom, it is certainly a beautiful piece of restoration, andwell worth the visit if you are ever in western KS/eastern CO
Thanks for the comments and suggestion. I'll give the color temp angle a try.
Thanks much, I appreciate the comments
On a recent trip to the high plains we were able to stop in at the Burlington Colorado fair grounds to visit the restored carousel on the grounds. Beautiful restoration of hand carved animals and fully functional Wurlitzer organ. Well worth the visit.
those are mamatus and occur on the underside of an anvil (upper levels) of a cumulous cloud, usually a super cell. Indicative of upper level turbulance
Nice Mamatus and anvil... Super cell I expect?
Great shots and love the weather theme. Will be thinking about you Monday and wishing you a speedy recovery
Looks to me that the focus is on the tail
