It's always a sad day when you loose a "member of the family". We lost our black lab Chilly several years ago, but she came back as a white labradoodle, Ruby. And then my wife lost a Chiwawa Polmoranian, Ginger, and she came back as a black labradoodle. Funny how they check out for a little bit but, if you allow it, they return.
I'm with Billnikon. The a9III doesn't make sense for me with the smaller sensor and the global shutter is not a big deal. I never see the affects of rolling shutter with any of my shots. I'm happy using my a1.
But he looks happy and I am sure both you and Baloney love your time together. I don't know how anybody gets along without dogs.
Thanks for sharing. I have had to replace 2 credit cards over the last year.

No. Viceversa.
Thanks for the clarification.
dIsn't it the mechanical shutter that tends to give you the effects of rolling shutter more than the electronic shutter? I shoot only with my A1 with an electronic shutter at 30 fps and I never see any affects of rolling shutter. That's why the a9 III has no interest for me.

Decompensation, mental illness seems more pervasive. We, as a society, prescribe psychotropic drugs three times the rate of most western countries, there are more pervasive use of illicit drugs, we have technologies that allow bullying to an extent that never been experienced, we have a media and politicians that do their best to make constituents feel aggrieved (everyone is either oppressed or an oppressor). One only needs to look at the subject of a recent congressional hearing with the tech industry leaders regarding bullying and suicide to see the extent of their influence. There seem to be many influences that my children may have had but are greatly magnified today.

Probably all good points. But many would say it's about the guns, not the points you bring out here. Are the "get rid of guns" people looking at the wrong things?
Larry, bright overcast days can be the best. Lovely colors. And a great mix of equipment to boot. Thanks for sharing.
When I was a kid in the 50's and 60's our family would spend the summers in Alamitos Bay just south of Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. I remember what seemed like little logs on the ocean bed rolling over my feet. I always wondered what they were. But, when your 7 or 8 years old, you don't care, you just love being in the ocean.
Nice sharp images. Well done.
