I don't know... but perhaps a squirrel's heart in on its right side! ????

Which picture is more pleasing to view?
Is it possible for you to post the original picture... before any processing?
Earlier I had said that wouldn’t post my version since I was not asked or told it it was acceptable to do so. But since there have been verbal suggestions… I will offer my suggestion. It is, however, a visual suggestion and not a verbal suggestion. I trust that it will be considered in the same spirit as verbal suggestions.
In my opinion... it is a nice scene. But both are way oversaturated and hurt my eyes. I would really like to see the original SOOC image.
I will not post my version of this image as I was not asked to do so. But I feel there is room for change within it. IMHO
These are a nice bunch of images of the trains. Well done.
With your title... I would have likes to see the trains in context to the title. We see the trains but we are missing them in the garden.
Titles can be misleading.
My thoughts do not minimize your nice train images.

Anthony Morganti has a couple of videos in which he shows how and why he uses dodge & burning... one for Lightroom and one for Photoshop. Worth a look. (I've only watched the Lightroom one.)
Google 'Morganti, dodge and burn.

We took, that trip last year. And while we enjoyed it… we were, at the same time, somewhat disappointed. Too much of the time we felt like we were going through a tunnel of trees, rocks and other vegetation and not seeing great vistas. Oh… there were some very nice things to see. But not nearly as good as we expected.
Going out and coming back, you were o/n the same side of the train, seeing the same stuff both ways. Was it worth 4 hours from Chapel Hil?l… well we got away from the house for a few days.
Of five train trips … in Alaska, Britain’s Yorkshires, Proctor in Vermont… and a couple of others… I’d rate it #5.

Clearly the color shots are superior.
In the world of seeing cars, we always tend to comment on the color of cars... regardless of the age.

I sent you pictures of the projector, it is capable of projecting 8 and super 8mm film.
Thanks. That projector looks good.
Here's where I am at this point.
I don't quite know what's on the films and as a result... I'm not yet anxious to put much money into it... till I know. And a (now) 87... I'm not looking a long term solutions.
Someone has offered me an 8mm film editor that will allow me to (at least) see the films... admittedly at small size. Once I have a better picture of it all... I'll better know what direction I want to go... even if it's no direction at all.
I've gotten a lot of suggestions from UHH and locally. I haven't seen the films for probably 50 years. I guess there's no rush.
I'll keep your contact info should I better decide how to proceed.
Thanks as lot.

I don't want to convert them without first seeing what is on them... seeing if it is worth it. I've tried to rent a projector. Even the "real" camera stores no longer have them. I've tried. These things have been out of the mainstream so long now.
I located a bunch of old 8mm home movies from the 1960s. I don't have and can't locate a projector to view them And I don't want to have them converted without seeing what is on them.
I also can't locate an 8mm film editor. So my question is...
Does anyone have any unique method that I might use to get a look at them... considering no projector or editor??
Thanks
Barry
I like the picture. But... who was flying the plane?!?
It's a nice photograph. Why does it need a caption?
