I am about to try some speed light photography. right now I have two speed lights with stands and umbrellas. but my stands are very light and the leg don't spread out much.. in other words they are cheap and will blow over easy. if you can help me where can I find a decent stand and possibly a softbox for my speed lights...thanks in advance for any suggestions..
that make sense..thanks for the information.
looks like I will be checking out Nikon..thanks for the suggestions
I currently have a d7000 with a sigma 17-70 lense. I want to buy a used d600 or d610. should I buy a better lense that will work well on a d 600 or 610 and use it on the d7000 until I get the body or should I buy the body first and use my sigma lense? I cant spring the funds to get them both at the same time.. any suggestions?
all good suggestions..thanks photo friends.
makes sense bob..thanks..this gives me some options..
thanks speters. I will take a look at that one.
im thinking of purchasing a reflector for portraits. I have never used one but want to try it out. can someone tell me what is the mid range to best reflector to buy as well as the size? just for portraits, one person or maybe couples.
thanks
thanks photo friends..looks like I had the wrong equipment for the job. I thought the 18-200 would help me but it lets little light in....so I stopped using it...those high end cameras sound nice but the only way I can afford one is to sell my d7000..i like this camera and would like to keep it for a back up so I will wait on a new purchase for now. but my next camera will be a large format one.
thanks for the pointers...these will give me some ideas in what to look for if I decide to purchase something new.
ok thanks. I know thats a good camera but im not familiar with canon. I have only used Nikon. so what Nikon camera is equal to the canon 7d? or should I even say such a thing?
I shot my first wedding in a long time at a church that was a little dark. it only had condesent lighting that was high up. trying to use no flash but a high iso I still could not get a fast enough shutter speed to get good shots. anything above iso 3200 was very grainy. I have a d7000 and thought it would do ok. I started out with a 18-200 but switched to a 17-70 so I could get more light with out such a high iso. im sure it was just my settings. so my question is what is the next step up from d7000 that is good for low light situations? im sure it will be full frame which is fine..please help....thanks.
