If you try to use water to melt the ice on your windshield in Minnesota in January or February, you next stop will be at the windshield replacement shop.

I have three Nikon 70-210 lenses, two of which are the f4 model. When I use them on my D700 or D810, I get great results. If someone has a limited budget, the D700 and 70-210 will outperform your expectations.

Would you please let us know the breed of Mr. Sid. We adopted a young dog from a lady who was put into a shelter without ever finding out his pedigree. Our Tanner looks a lot like your Mr. Sid. Thanks, LEON

Nice car. I went with a 64 T bird convertible and loved every mile I drove her. Unfortunately I'll be selling her latter this year when the weather warms up.

I do shoot the D700. I got mine with the 24-120 3.5 vr. Many people don't like it, but Nikon coupled it with the D700 as their kit lens. I actually have a lot of good shots with the combination. The f4 version is better. The f4 focuses faster and produces better sharpness on the corners. The f3.5 is lighter, smaller, cheaper, and better balanced on the D700. Some day I might pick up the f4 model. Instead when I want a higher end lens I use the Nikon 24-85 vr. Great lens: its light, well balanced, fast, cheap, and sharp. I use it a lot instead of my large and heavy 28-70 f2.8. It all depends on what your needs and pocket book allows you to chose.

The D700 is one of the finest cameras ever made. I still shoot it along with my D810. Some days I prefer using it to the newer D810. In the time I have had it, which is many years, I have not had one problem with it. I would try to rent the camera from the person for a week to see if it just has a compatibility problem with the lens.

Please let me know what breed your dog is. We have one that is shaped very very similar to yours and would like to know his breed. We took him in temporarily for an elder lady because she was going into a rest facility but won't now be coming out. He's now ours and will be permanent due to the virus and the fact that we love him. Thanks, Leon

I don't believe couplers will work with the 70 - 300. At least I couldn't get my 70 - 300 to fully work when I had a D300,

I too am slowly looking at FF I have the Nikon D300 now and have been looking at the D700 as it would use some the same accessories as the D300, what are your thoughts on the D700, I like its low light ability
Thanks, and it is in my budget
Terry

There isn't anything I remember not working on the D300 that didn't work on the D700. This includes them using the same grip. Sure dx lenses won't work as well as fx lenses, but they still can be used.

I agree with Thomas and Dandi. The D700 is a wise choice for an entry level camera into full frame. It is fast enough for sports, tough, dependable, great battery life, very good low light capable, good color rendition, weather resistant, and still used professionally. Not long ago it was, along with the D3, Nikons flag professional camera. I still use mine along with my D810 and have never had a problem with it. Couple the D700 with a 50mm 1.8 and wall hangers are around the corner. You can get the same pixel count with the D700 (12 mega pixel camera) as the D610 or D750 (24 mega pixel) of your subject by just moving up closer by half the distance. A D700 with a 50mm 1.8 can be found for about $400.

Let’s ask Trump if he said it. But wait, under your guidelines we can’t do that because you said It has to be a reputable source.

Nice come back, and it only took you five days and after five pages of posts. Have a good day.

Someone suggested I come back to see your replies, so here I am. His comment is big news for those who care. You've heard the expression, "Don't shoot the messenger."? It was Trump who said this about his supporters - people who want to shake his hand.

According to your own source, the person who said this occurred was a Ms. Troye. Prior to her statement, she was discharged for failure to perform her job responsibilities. Then she decided to change party support. However you did quote sources, although in my opinion, some if not the majority are rag sources.

Not a nameless person - VP Pence's aide (Olivia Troye) heard this and is on the record for hearing it, as well as other people in a private coronavirus briefing.

"she says the president remarked that the pandemic might be a "good thing" because it prevented him from having to shake hands with "disgusting people." Troye said the president was referring to his supporters.

"When we were in a task-force meeting, the president said: 'Maybe this COVID thing is a good thing — I don't like shaking hands with people. I don't have to shake hands with these disgusting people.'" One of his throw-away joke comments?

Sadly , it sounds like something he would say, so I'm not surprised. There is no Christian values or morals that I observe.

Classic hear-say justification evidence. Try including a source to go to that's published by a reputable source. Shouldn't be hard to do since you used quote marks in your response post.

Trump said that he's glad that, because of the coronavirus, he doesn't "have to shake hands with these disgusting people." (Reported by a person who was in the room at the time) What a guy! So, how do you "disgusting" supporters of Trump feel about that?

I won't be coming back to this post, so you can save your personal insults. After all, it was Trump who called you disgusting.

I thought you were a better person than this post. No back up, no listing of who said they heard the comment, just your statement as to what you think may have been said. In your hero Biden's own words ,"Come on Man". And now your not coming back, hit and run. Boy have I lost respect for you.
