Blaster34,
I am glad you had the chance to find Yavapai County Courthouse in Prescott, AZ. In reading your response to me, I just remembered another beauty in Silverton, Colorado. It is after a four hour 'Durango-Silverton' train ride. Of course the train ride is very, very picturesque and memorable in itself, but I am trying to inform you of the courthouse, which is very picturesque as well.

In regard to your interest of old courthouses, have you seen the one in Prescott, Arizona? It is a beautiful white structure surrounded by park-like greenery on all four sides. You might be able to find it on 'Google'.

Blaster34,
Good things come to those who wait. Your patience and perseverance paid off. You have some very nice pics here.

JerryC41,
I certainly have to agree with you on these, and especially your addition of petrichor. In Arizona, the monsoon brings this out in spades.

These are wonderful captures of an infrequently seen animal. Looking at the first picture, I actually thought these were hyenas. Then I noticed the dogs had bigger ears and more slender bodies. But the coloration was similar, ostensibly for natural camouflage purposes. All in all, very nice work. I appreciate your effort.

The Oregon coast is beautiful and you captured some of that 300 mile coast it very nicely.

Mr. Photog,
You certainly sound very knowledgeable in this area. My hat is off to you. Would you know if this is the kind of camera/computer set up that would be roboticly used on Mars in the space explorers and other satellites sent to vast distances throughout the solar system? I always wondered what type of camera was used.
Arca
ecobin,
Artist or equipment? As a photographer, your images are exemplary. Your lens is also exemplary for what it does, resolving even the fine hairs on the legs of these little creatures. Both are needed and you illustrate what good equipment does in the hands of an artist. Very nice job!!!

Very, very nice images. Did you use the same shutter speed for all of the waterfalls? Some appear to be brighter than others but I think that may be due to the rate of flow as measured in cubic feet per second, or gallons per second. Again, very nice images.

Nice photo. But as we say, it is a dry heat. Hopefully in your portion of SE Arizona you are not plagued by the numerous forest fires in Arizona, about 22 going on right now in various locales.

I really like the tree photo, it has good depth of field and presents a very bucolic feeling.
I have been at Vizcaya three times, the last time was about 1980, the first time about 1960. Memories can fade and become inaccurate, but I was more impressed with it in 1960 than in 1980. As I recall, it had become somewhat run down. I hope it has improved since then. I hope you enjoyed your visit there and have only pleasant memories of it.
Again, I really enjoyed your tree photo.

This is a beautiful image and portrays what I think about when I envision eastern Montana. I have been to western Montana and Glacier NP but never eastern Montana. I hope to get there one day. BTW, the roofline of the building appears to be very level to my eye, parallel with the bottom border of the image. Do you use a 'bubble level' or grid lines when composing your shots? Whatever, I enjoyed this picture very much.

UTMike,
This is a beautiful set of images. At 8760 feet of elevation, I am surprised by the lack of ice in the lake the following spring/summer. I recall Ice Lake in the Wallowa Wilderness of Oregon at 8,000 feet having ice and Lake Solitude in the Tetons at 9,000 feet having ice the following August. This leads me to think there was not a lot of precipitation in your area this past winter. Is that true? I know there is a widespread drought over all the west for the past several years. Be that as it may, your set of images are very, very pleasant to look at.

Fitz424,
This is a very nice set of images and the sentiment is very appropriate. Thank you for posting these. May we never forget these soldiers.

This is a nice collection of this occasionally beautiful plant. I especially like your progression from wide angle to macro presentation, quasi textbook analysis. Nice job.
