Last week my wife and I were visiting our son and family (first in-person visit in over a year), who lives in Fort Lauderdale. We all spent a few days in Miami, and visited Vizcaya, a mansion and adjoining gardens that was built in early 20th century. It is now a museum. I loved the gardens and would like to go back and spend a few hours or more just wandering around taking pictures. But with a nine year-old granddaughter and no other semi-serious photographers, I had to be a team player and go with the flow. Nevertheless I really like the three photos I am attaching here. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

Beauties, Allan! It is not too early to begin training the granddaughter to become a photographer (LOL).

I really like the tree photo, it has good depth of field and presents a very bucolic feeling.
I have been at Vizcaya three times, the last time was about 1980, the first time about 1960. Memories can fade and become inaccurate, but I was more impressed with it in 1960 than in 1980. As I recall, it had become somewhat run down. I hope it has improved since then. I hope you enjoyed your visit there and have only pleasant memories of it.
Again, I really enjoyed your tree photo.

I am trying, but so far no luck. Right now she is practicing being a teenager; that means showing complete indifference to whatever her parents or grandparents find interesting.

Thanks for the comment. They are now renovating the top floor of the house, so they are attempting to take care of the building at least. The gardens and statues did have a run-down look to them, but I found that to be part of their appeal.
Very nice set Allan. I really like #1 and #3.
