At least one in Brisbane! May be more soon as so many Melbourne people are moving here after their Covid experiences.

I upgraded to 11 form 10. It took a while and I have been plagued by upgrades since. My biggest concern is the downgrade in usabilty by the removal of functions in Pictures and docs which are used to create new folders files etc. The only reason I have not gone back is that I lost some items from Windows Store in 10 and W11 restored them. I have 2 other laptops with 10 and will keep them there.

Another Microsoft misstep In my view.

My wife and I had separate TVs for decades. She used to say that was the secret to a good marriage.

Retired people need two cars more than TVs.

Yes, Dook (Earl) was a mate of mine, he lived in MacClean, a small town in New South Wales (Australia). Sadly he passed away a couple of years ago...bloody cancer.
He always made me laugh with his turbocharged, clapped out Toyota van...

I am sorry to hear that.

In a similar vein we used to see many posts from DOOK in Maclean, NSW but none for quite a while. Few of us are young so maybe he is no longer with us.

The biggest problem I have using cellphones to take photos/videos - we call them "mobile phones here in OZ" - is holding the device steady enough whilst I fumble for the shutter release whereas a "dslr" is designed from the get-go to be held easily and comfortably in tricky positions. Its buttons are placed in functional areas of the camera body such that taking a photo is a no brainer.

After all, the cellphone's main job is to make/take calls and is designed to be held for that primary purpose. Nevertheless, the technology being built into them is simply amazing for doing other tasks alongside taking photos.

They are becoming the "Jack of all trades" and master of none!

All nice and neat and orderly but hardly OCD, but then I trained as an engineer and some say that is close to being OCD!

A few shots from a recent visit to Kakadu.
The crocs are at least 3 metres (about 10 feet ) long.

Hello,
I'm looking to buy a tough camera, something that I can take with me anywhere, doesn't matter if I drop it or it gets wet etc. I have a lumix at the moment and it's been great for several years, even after my wife cooked it by leaving it by leaving it on top of the wood stove. I'd quite happily purchase another one of these but they don't seem to have advanced at all since my last purchase and so I'm wanting good recommendations please. I read in reviews that Olympus are regarded highly however, they only have a 12 megapixel sensor, that seems rather low to me, any ideas welcome please.
Thanks.... Phil

I think Olympus currently has either 16 or 20 Mpa sensors, depending on the model.
