p5 Like the reasoning behind the Orvis shot and like the composition, lighting and water droplets in that last show piece, Donn.
Thank you Pat. We don't always see or portray what others do and you have an artists and creative eye.

Amen, thanks RR. Love your shots and they all seem to have a story and purpose.
Excellent start and a great daily reminder. I often have fun taking pictures and don't always compose them properly or have to snap it quick or I may lose that second in time. I enjoy composing thoughts as well and the tough part for me is conveying to others what I perceive when I take the pic. Here are a couple with the though process behind them.
My fly tying vice and bench laying idle in the half light waiting for the artist to bring it all to life.
A collection of pike and bass flies I tie with with colored deer hair that I shape to get different silhouettes or action in the water. Below is an Orvis fly reel bag which is a company I worked with for quite some time after I retired and wanted it subtlety in the photo but not glaring.
Flowers after a rain in low light I felt was very inviting to wait for full light to see them.
A new bud after a rain reaching out to the sun for nourishment and fulfillment

Also one of my favorites. Have you ever seem the hollyhocks at Strawberry Hot Springs near Steamboat, Co? Gardens full of them.
No I haven't. I've been many places in Co but never there; had I known I would have gone to see them. My grandmother was fond of them and always had dozens of them.

Yes maam, all the way around and thank you. I like getting up close and personal, even to bees.

Thank you Simon. Some of my holy hocks grow over 8' tall and I have several different varieties; they are one of my favorites.
Great start Irene and super examples, well done. Will post a couple from file and take more this week, weather permitting.
