Challenge May 4-6-2015; Macro & Close-ups

Thank you RR for starting a new week with 'Free Sunday'. It's always a fun challenge day. This next challenge will be getting up close and personal to your subject. So get out your macro lens; or use your macro setting on your camera. Or take some close-ups photos. It all works for this challenge. Have fun!

I've not met the requirements of true macro....but do enjoy trying. My examples are more likely better described as close-ups with a little macro thrown in.

From Missouri. The last picture is a carving on a rock at a friend of mines farm. It's a flat stone that has sevral carving on it. This one is a cross and at the bottom has the letters IHS. Another one is a dove with the date, 1927. They believe that the carvings were made by some soldiers that were camping in the area after World War 1.

Good subject, Irene. I was just out trying some close up. All the entries so far are wonderful. Macro is a whole new world and such fun.
