Speaking of Dave Letterman my sister"s dog was on Stupid Pet Tricks. He was a Bearded Collie that was obsessed with frisbees. He could chase and scoop up 17 frisbees at one time. Of course after getting one the audience was laughing and the dog got spooked and dragged my 90 pound sister off stage! Dave was able to make plenty of jokes about his performance!
For me my stupid moment came when I said I would shoot my friend's son's wedding it was very informal with about 30 people. This was when I first got interested in photography shot with my first digital Point and shoot Canon G2.Left the battery at home charging. Fortunately I was close to home and ran back to get it.

Update. My husband just received a new sx60 from Canon.They said they could not fix it so sent a new one. My husband is very happy now.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Husband called Canon this AM and indeed there was some miscommunication. Apparently the Canon repair servive in VA beach does not share the same data base as the Canon site where he bought it from. Va Beach did not know it was a recently purchased item and therefore believed it to be out of warranty.
Good news is that they are sending another camera.

My husband bought a refurbished Canon SX 60 on Nov 26 from their site. We discovered the flash was not firming and DH called Canon. After some possible things he could do, he was told to send it back. He got a letter yesterday saying the flash could not be fixed and was out of warranty and to send them $80.00 and they would send him a new refurbished one. I believed these cameras had a 1 year warranty. Any advice for our next step?
