AARP - Worth it?

Hm... after reading all the comments, I have come to the conclusion that AARP has very limited uses for many people and actually none for me so far. I just recently paid a visit to one of my sons and tried to use my AARP card at hotels and I was informed that their discount was lower than the one offered through AARP. Now, that was quite disconcerting. I am seriously thinking of dropping since I don't have a need for their insurance coverage. Thanks for all your comments. You have opened my eyes!

It was not my intention to insult anyone. I did feel insulted with his derogatory language towards immigrants where many are laborers trying to make it in a decent way by working the fields or non-skilled labor. Now, if you are 1/16 Cherokee Indian, I don't understand your reasoning of sending the above mentioned immigrants back. Do you feel the same way with those relatives that compose your family that are immigrants as well? I don't understand!!!

Hey dirtpusher. I was puzzled with the derogatory language that you used against immigrants and I fully understand why after reading your occupation as a retired "bulldozer seat cover". You have really learned to speak that lingo well. However, I hope you learn that your lingo does not sit well with many hear that are used to a much kinder and humane lingo. Have you forgotten that your ancestors were immigrants as well? Your profile does not show your real name so if I am wrong by assuming that your ancestors were not immigrants, please forgive me for my mistake. Now, if you are an American Indian, I think you have the right to express your anger against all of us immigrants, including you. I think that you should look at the video again, before you ridicule yourself one more time. If you didn't make it far in school for whatever reason, don't put down any immigrants including Irish, Brits, French, Italian, Jews, Latin Americans and many more that made this beautiful country a power house.
