I WOULD AGREE WITH LIGHTCHIME, I THINK IT IS WELL BALANCED AS IT IS. THE DARK AREAS OF THE LOWER PART OF THE SCENE IS BALANCED WITH THE BLUE IN THE CLOUDS IN THE TOP OF THE PHOTO, THEREFOR DRAWING THE EYE TO THE CENTRE OF THE PHOTO. NICE ONE

What a fab shot that is Greg. Amazing how different parts of the globe reacts to sunlight. LOVE IT.

IM BORED WITH THE SUNRISE/SUNSET NOW ITS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH. YOU JUST NEED TO BE THERE EARLY ENOUGH TO CATCH IT.

Yes red sky at night shepherds delight, red sky at morn sailors warning. but this is no good if you want to be there, this is telling you that red sky at night means its going to be a nice day tomorrow, red sky at morn means the weather is going to turn bad.
Great images, some places just lend themselves to great imagery.

Both are great, depending on who is looking. For me I prefer the first one as it is more natural. Im always a believer in what you see is what you get, as little post touch up as possible. Still amazing what you can do to an image though.
Pip
Fab both of them, but my favourite is the 2nd one, well done.
Pip
Yes I especially like the 2nd one too.
Pip
Well done, I find these type of shots hard to get right.
Pip
Nice shot, the colours are great too.

Hi everyone, isn't this just the nature of the beast. Photography is sitting around waiting for the right moment, no predictions, just being there, whether that be waiting for the deer to pop out into an opening, or the bird of prey catching his meal, or catching the sunrise or set. All I can say is, and im no expert, but weather conditions can change so you just have to be there, and trust to luck, who knows you might see a badger or fox instead. Take a flask of tea and enjoy the moment.
